So confused

I was diagnosed with very mild build up in 2 small arteries the only reason they gave me the scan was because I pushed for it, Drs kept telling me my chest pain which i get every day, was anxiety, even after the diagnosis they said the amount of build up didn't warrant how much pain I was getting, I was given aspirin, statins and gtn spray, I thought I'd try the spray today and it helped with the pain, I'm now confused as what is really causing my pain, I do have it even when I'm not doing anything

Did they say which arteries? The angina related to a narrowing of a major one, like the LAD or RCA, is different to that in the smaller arteries. One type is Prinz-metal angina, with which others on this forum are more familiar.

I think one was LAD can't remember the other one but, he said he wasn't worried about it it was very low risk, and as long as i took the statin, aspirin and made some life style changes it would be fine

Pre bypass I had had four coronary arteries between 70% and 85% blocked, the worse being the LAD. Bar the last few weeks before surgery angina and breathlessness only occured on exertion. Why not call the BHF nurses tomorrow as they know more than me.

It may be worth asking if its variant/prinzmetals angina.
