Partial thyroidectomy
I had a right thyroid
lobectomy
in January for 2 nodules. One was benign and one was a microcarcinoma. No treatment was needed thankfully due to it been caught early. I was told the remaining thyroid would compensate.

VATS Lung Lobectomy for Congenital Malformation - advice please.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone who has had a Lung
Lobectomy
or had a similar congenital lung problem identified during adulthood - could help with some advice. What to expect? Tips for recovery? Any further questions I should ask? etc. Many thanks for your help and support.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated
I should have known something was up when she wouldn’t really discuss what would happen post
lobectomy
. She was more concerned with hosptialization and diarrhea. She wouldn’t do incentive spirometer, she wouldn’t eat, nothing. So she delveoped pneumonia.

new nodule found one year after lobectomy
Long story made shorter, a upper left
lobectomy
caused by a small 22 mm adenocarcinoma stage1b. Everything else looked great. Surgery was at Mayo Clinic and I was out the next day. Some pain but manageable. Required oxygen at night and while exercising for 4-6 weeks. No chemo.

2 1/2 weeks post op
I had a right
lobectomy
and was wondering about recuperation. I have SOB upon minor exertion, a cough, minor incision pain (VATS), fatigue, and minor indigestion. Is this normal as to recovery? My NP says it is but I want to hear from those experiencing recovery. Robin

I'm so glad to be on this group. I've read all your posts and I want to tell you I'm so sorry for those of you still suffering with little help. That is me. We must not give up hope. I'm in the Atlanta area. My nightmare began 8 years ago when I began to experience severe constipation and colon pain

Hi, I finally had the biopsy surgery 2 weeks ago. I guess all is going well. I have not had a follow up with my surgeon yet. I do know that it was cancer which is why they took the lobe, but I don’t really know anything else. I was in the hospital for 8 days. I was ready to go home and then experienced

I've been through surgeries (
lobectomy
and brain), chemo and radiation so I'm not without treatment experience. The above drug is relatively new so I'm a bit apprehensive. Thank you.

After lobectomy
I had a vats upper left
lobectomy
for nsclc stage 1A nodule 12 weeks ago. Clean lymph nodes. I have a strong family history of lung cancer so I was in an annual screening program. It was found with my 2nd annual scan. I was asymptomatic. 57 year old female. Otherwise, pretty healthy!

Post lobectomy recovery time
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, have been reading some of the posts to assist me in learning about what to expect for post-
lobectomy
recovery time. I'm trying to help my 78 year old father who has COPD and was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer in the fall of 2017.
