Can heart pounding ectopics come with pulsating head pressure?
I am new here, but have already found the site to be very informative and helpful. For more than a year now, almost daily and usually at the end of the day, I have been experiencing pulsating head pressure and sometimes a sense of dizziness. The head pulsations often seem to sync with heart pounding

harmful meds
Anybody have experience taking prescription meds for whatever reason, only later to discover that they are destroying your kidneys. For me hydrochlorothiazide, hctz and lopid gemfibrozol anti elevated triglycerides seem to be two drugs with potential for damaging kidneys.??

Pharmaceutical dust exposure at pharmacies using automatic dispensing machines: a preliminary study
Next time a pharmacy pushes bulk tablets onto you (e.g. we had a lot of repacking of liothyronine at one time), maybe ask sweetly whether they are OK or could they be suffering from pharmaceutical dust? :-) (That is written intending to be mildly humorous. Obviously shortages can end up with them having

OT - Cold or Covid?
At the start of the week I had a ticklely cough that I put down to an increase of my Lisinopril from 2.5mg to 5mg (ACE Inhibitors are well known for causing a dry cough although it often settles in a few days). However, on Thursday I woke with a red raw sore throat, and streaming nose and eyes. This

Does any one know how long Losartan 25mg taken with Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg last in the body?
Does any one know how long Losartan 25mg taken with Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg last in the body and is effective for? It seems like it wears off within 12 hours or or so with me. Thank you

Newly diagnosed stage 2 hypertension. When should meds start to work?
Hi. I bought myself a BP monitor and was horrified with the readings, they eventually went off the scale. Went to A & E and the gatekeeper reluctantly let me book in. My reading was 177/99. Got a phone call arranged from GP who prescribed ampolodine which I was reluctant to take because I have lymphoedema

Proteinuria: How long can it be controled?
If we have proteinuria and lower it with bp meds, what is the average rate that it comes back? Can it stay down indefinately? In a 24 hr urine test it dropped from 569 total to 115 after taking 2.5 mg of lisinopril for a month. I have stage 3a CKD. and I'm 56. I eat low protein and low salt. Mostly

Fed up with Hypertension
I have lived with what's known as essential Hypertension for 29 years. I have had lots of investigations medically but to no avail, I appear to just have it genetically. What's always worried me is that despite being on a raft of medication my blood pressure only goes down an hr after I've taken said

Mistake of taking Lisinopril with Caffeine
So, I only came across an article by accident but it stated that taking BP pills with coffee lowers the effect of the BP pill. Is this correct. I must admit pretty much every day I've taken the pill after I've eaten my breakfast and swallowed it with my morning cup of coffee. I've stopped that for now

Taking two different blood pressure tablets each day - when best to take them?
I am struggling to get my blood pressure under control and my GP has prescribed an additional blood pressure tablet each day. I have been taking Lisinopril 20mg and Bisoprolol 1.25mg. I take these each morning at around 6am. My GP has now asked me to start taking Lercanidipine 10mg each day as my blood

BP Medication Journey!!
Good morning. I had a similar experience when I started taking BP med about 4/5 months ago. 1st, as always, was Amlopodine which caused flushing face and itchy legs, on it a week then the list and side effects goes on, and on and on! I ended up in A&E on Lercanipidine caused horrendous indigestion

Depression /low mood and anxiety with felodipine and intolerance to bp meds.
Hi, I'm wondering how many of you have had depression or low mood on felodipine? I've been taking it for 3 months now and have definitely noticed a big dip in my moods. I'm a lot more anxious too. It's on the list of rare side effects but I wonder if it's more common than that. I've tried many meds

Heart Arrhythmia
Hello all. I have a question that maybe someone can answer. Most of the time my heart beats fine. Steady and around 60 BPM. There are times though that it will out of the blue beat 8 or 10 times in a row fast. Just speeds up for no reason and then will go back to normal slow rhythm. Does anyone know

How to get rid of persistent dizziness and vertigo when taking Lisinopril, Ramipril or Losartan?
Hi, Can anyone advise on how to deal with persistent dizziness/vertigo? My father (who's in his 80s) has had high blood pressure for years but it's been well controlled til 6 months ago when he had a 'crisis' and ended up in hospital (hypertensive encephalopathy). Since then he's been prescribed Clopidogrel

Any advice please?
I am Hypothyroid, on Levothyroxine now for some 10/12 years. I have recently been diagnosed with Hypertension and am taking Ramipril and Lisinopril. I was taking Amlodipine but my ankles swelled so badly and painfully that I had to come off it. My issue however is my really low mood, weepy, totally exhausted
