Very belated intro
I've had rls since I was in my teens. I'm now 66 years old. About 6-7 years ago, I was finally diagnosed with RLS, and given a medication that I can't recall the exact name of, but it was something like lebadopa carbadopa?? Anyway, that worked very well for me at first, but after a few months it would

I have my appointment with the surgeon this Wednesday the 14th, I sure hope I’m not going to be on a roller coaster! Pathology

Has anyone here had the experience of taking meds for ADHD while trying to keep blood pressure under control?
Hi, I'm new here and recently diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type). I'm almost 40 and never took any stimulants. I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have high blood pressure (which I think is related to my anxiety). I've been taking Sertraline for depression and Hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension

Progress is being made!
Good morning everyone, I apologize in advance. I've let too much time go by without sharing needed updates. Due to the amazing feedback, I have received from this forum, MANY changes have been made in a short time and I'm truly in awe at the results so far. Last night I was reviewing and consolidating

Atorvastatin 20mg with PMR
Hi Guys, I have been taking this statin for almost 4 weeks and just wondered if anyone else who has PMR takes this. At first when taking I felt a bit queasy, so started to take it after evening dinner on its own. This did help but I have developed other side affects - I feel extremely tired all day

CkD & Lisinopril
Hello, I am curious if anyone has gotten off of Linsinopril and seen an increase of their GFR. Ive been on the medication for six years now and my blood pressure has gotten better so I am getting off of it. My GFR is at 30. I hoping it will give me a bump!

Ckd 2 and Amlodipine
I'm taking a low dose of Amlodipine now and Lisinopril to regulate blood pressure. I've read there have been some evidence of calcium blockers contributing to progression. I'm checking sources with conflicting views. Any input from the group? Thanks for your time!

Seeking any info: Our son was recently diagnosed with kidney disease
Hi, I'm a parent who is looking for possible answers or similar situations out there. Our 16-year-old son was diagnosed with kidney disease in March 2024. We've been trying to find medication and treatment to help with it. This all started in January 2024, when our son was complaining about back pain

Gynecomastia
18 months ago I developed gynecomastia of my left breast. I was on several medications but when I switched from amlodipine (5 mgs per day) to lisinopril (5 mgs per day) the gynecomastia resolved within 6 weeks. Has anyone had this side effect from taking amlodipine?

Warning Signs Before My Cardiac Arrests
Hi -- after I posted the description of my 4 cardiac arrests, a couple people asked for more details, like what early symptoms or warnings I had. So here goes. In the year before my cardiac arrests in July of 2018 I was awoken 4 times with breathing difficulties. I simply couldn't catch my breath

I'm not a heavy drinker but I am carrying about 6 stones more than I should be, I am a bit scared, so have eaten much better for a while before these test results. My ELF score is 9.5 is that really bad, can I help myself while

Lisinopril Cough
I started Lisinopril for hypertension about 6 weeks ago and it is working very well, but I have been coughing steadily for the last 4 weeks and I think that it must be the culprit because I don't have any other symptoms, just a very persistent cough. Has anyone else in this forum had this problem?

Are all Blood Pressure Meds Awful?
I realise they may be/are lifesaving, but after nearly 30 years I am running out of options for BP control. For many years I took 25mg atenolol, 20 Lisinopril and 1.5 Indapamide. The latter seemed to make the biggest difference. I can’t take large doses of beta blockers as they stop me from breathing
