Heart Surgery, Lisinopril and symptoms
Hi all, I am waiting on heart surgery after being diagnosed with severely leaking aortic valve back in Dec 2021. I have an enlarged heart as a result but my ejection fraction was 64% at the time of the MRI (Feb 2022). My main symptoms are visible neck pulsations that I can also feel in my groin

Protein in urine
I continue to spill protein in my urine. I had an adverse reaction to Lisinopril so I can’t take that. Other than limiting protein in diet, what else have you found that helps?

Blood pressure discrepancies
I just would like to understand my blood pressure. I had a stress test and in the hospital they use the cuff rigged up to the computer they got 160/104. At rest middle of the day even After being on lisinopril for at least 6 weeks. My doctor on an old pump up machine a few weeks earlier got 120/80. On

When to take medication?
Hello PMR people, an update on my Pred doses - I went up to 10 for just a week then dropped back to 5 but was in pain again so went up to 7 again, I’m staying with it for now as it’s working and I’m not too bad. Will try to reduce in a few weeks. I am so annoyed because I was doing so well on 5 before

Now taking spironolactone
Well hear we go. Now going to take spironolactone on top of lisinopril. This journey is not fun. Having been diagnosed with epstein anomaly. Which I have had from birth. But it is now becoming one of the worst periods of my life. This is becoming a constant worry and I just worry about the effects of

Heart failure vs kidney disease
My heart failure specialist nurse has requested my Dr. To put me back on lisinopril medication which I was taken off 3 years ago due to kidney problems. It would appear my Dr is loathe to do this so am now between the devil and deep blue sea. I still certainly have akd and the specialist nurse indicated

From EHA June 2022. Treating hypertension in patients receiving BTK inhibitors
My own Ibrutinib induced hypertension has been tricky to treat and Losartan, which did suit me, had to be stopped as it was contraindicated. Now on Amlopidine and it's not effective at all so going back to Losartan now that I'm off Ibrutinib. Interesting in that he says that more than one class of

NEPH said no to SGLT 2, said Lisinopril was best treatment for protein in urine.
Ok, so when first realized I had CKD two years ago, my protein was 600. Given 2.5 MG of Lisinopril and BP dropped to 100/60 etc. Protein went to zero...for the most part all other tests notn except light chains due to ckd...fast forward to recently === protein sneaking in and BP coming up, light chains

Lisinopril and CKD
Hello All, New to this group and I thank all in advance for all this wonderful information. My egfr has dropped from 61 to 44 over the last year. Blood work is good other than creatinine level from 1.19 to 1.59 in a year. I take lisinopril for controlled HBP. My nephrologist is leaning toward that drug

I'm taking
Lisinopril
20 mg mixed with
Hydrochlorothiazide
12 mg, once a day. Also taking 150 mg Pradaxa twice a day and Metoprolol Succinate 50 mg once a day. My leg muscles, on both legs, from knee to thigh feel weak and sore.

Review of Top 10 Prescribed Drugs and Their Interaction with Dental Treatment
Yet another paper which hints at quite a bit - bit then is behind a paywall. If anyone has access, just knowing the outline of what they say could be very interesting. We have had many question the impact of thyroid issues on their teeth and dental treatment. [i]Dent Clin North Am. 2016 Apr;60(2):

Reactions to Amlodipine ….
OMG! I’ve been taking Amlodipine since 2011 along with Lisinopril for HBP and water retention. I had no idea that Amlodipine was causing all the side affects I’ve been experiencing. The major being severe back/waist pain. The quality of my life is terrible because of this. My vacations have been sadden

Reduction in Biosop
Morning! I've been on 5mg of the above for ages but since going on Fleccainide my heart has really settled. I spoke to my GP last week (after finally making the appointment, my fault) and he agreed I could try reducing this. I am sure he said to 3 mg but the pills are 2.5. Is this rather a large

Is rituximab safe? Thoughts on second opinions?
Hello, My name is Junior. My 18 year old brother was diagnosed a year ago with C3 Glomerulonephritis. Over the past year we have been moderating his BP with lisinopril. As well as high doses of cellcept and prednisone to try and moderate his immune system. Based in his recent biopsy there are no signs

Statins
Hi there everyone, I’ve been living with ET for 2 years now & am currently on 500g daily dose hydroxycarbamide , 2.5g lisinopril for slightly high blood pressure & 75mg aspirin. My GP wants to put me on statins now for high cholesterol ( 8.4) & I just wondered if there are any risks associated with this

Blood pressure meds
I was previously put on triamterene with a diuretic when I started having kidney Grf issues. So I asked my doctor to put me on Lisinopril. It seems to protect the kidneys. My blood pressure this morning was 141/80. It has been fluctuating from 134/70 etc. while I am afraid to switch I wonder if this
