SPIRONOLACTONE 25 MG TABLET
Can anyone please tell me if spironolactone interferes with RLS? If so, are there any other b/p meds that can be a good substitute? I'm already taking HCTZ and lisinopril.

Hypertension vs lisinopril?
My blood pressure is high so I was advised to up my dose of lisinopril from 2.5mg to 5mg a day. Since I have done this around 10 days ago I have had a massive flare up of gout and I read that there is a connection between lisinopril and gout flare ups. My previous gout flare up was over four years ago

I'm in my mid fifties and had an ACS event about four weeks ago (chest pain radiating in a band around my chest and back, weird electrical feelings down both brachial arteries) with raised troponin (100, raising to 1000) and spent four days in hospital. Increase dosage of Lisinopril
I am taking 10mg of Lisinopril for 4 years although my blood pressure reduced from 180+ it reduced it to 130/90. It is now risen to 145/98 recently. In this 2 year period of time I have gained weight 20lbs with no diet change. I tried Dry January this year this had no effect on my blood pressure or

Where do I go from here?
I've many years history of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Polymyalgia (PMR). I developed vasculitis in August, possibly triggered by apixaban. That had been started after an episode of dramatically low sodium had caused Atrial Fibrillation. I'm now on 25mg prednisolone, azathioprine 125mg daily. This is stops

too much aldosterone and afib?
I began my journey with Atrial fibrillation in 2010. Low potassium and high blood pressure was considered to be the instigator. I found out a year ago that I have a tumor on an adrenal gland that is producing too much aldosterone. Too much aldosterone causes low potassium and high blood pressure. I currently

CKD 3A
Hello everyone. I am 65 year old male and fast approaching 66. I am from England and living in Liverpool. I was diagnosed with CKD 3 in December 2023. I understand that my GFR was 49 and my urine was fine me, but apart from that I don’t have any other data. After some quick internet searches I contacted

Weight increase on Bisoprolol
I recently read on the forum about Bisoprolol fumerate preventing weight loss. Are there any stats that show this? I have been on 2.5mgs since 2017, alongside 60mgs Edoxaban for the episode of AF I experienced then, and my weight has steadily but gradually increased, in spite of several attempts at different

Oh dear! it's that 'senior moment' time again
Oooops. Yesterday I posted asking if anyone had issues with long term use of Lisinopril, but what I really wanted was feedback on long term usage of Lansoprozole! (Take your pick: brain fog, senility etc.) I was prescribed Lansoprozole to minimise the risk of stomach damage from Clopidogrel, following

Lisonopril safety?
Have any of you good people been on Lisinopril for several years? If so, have you suffered any side effects? I've been taking them for 4 years (protection from Clopidogrel), but apparently GPs should review it after 12 months to check for unwanted effects. Needless to say, mine hasn't Take care John

Hypo type episode on Dapaglaflozin/Forxiga, and Spironolactone, while waiting for a pacemaker upgrade. Advice anyone?
I felt sweaty and shaky after skipping breakfast this morning, and looking at the leaflet for Dapaglaflozin, I see one of the side effects is to cause low blood sugar levels. It's a diabetes drug which has been found to help with Heart Failure patients. It makes you pee away blood sugar. So I ate some
