Just wondering if any one knows the advantages, lisinopril has on the heart? I know it is good as lowering blood pressure. It has helped my blood pressure. But what other advantages does it have. It does state that it is good for symptomatic heart failure. But can this help injection fraction? I just wonder if any one else uses lisinopril and have they found it helpful.

Lisinopril
Hello. If this is an ACE inhibitor, I think a few of us will have been on this with beta blockers and a few other things to help the ejection fraction 'maximise' (although in my case a damaged bit of muscle doesn't renew). I'm not sure of the physiology, I just know that you feel better. I also know you can feel better on these drugs without EF being any different. I was on perindopril (an ACE...They all end with 'pril'), for 14 years bedore having a go at Entresto. I'm not a Cardio/gp etc though but the help on here is great. Wishing you stable health. X
Thank you for your reply.

Lisinopril was taken by my mother from the age of 71 until she died of old age at 97. She never had any problems with it though I cannot remember any advantages other than she outlived her sisters and all of her cousins.
