Multi Vitamins and PD
My neurologist told me not to take multi vitamins. He reckons vitamin B disrupts the absorption of Levodopa. Any comments?

Xadago (Safinamide)in UK.
Xadago (Safinamide) is a promising new MAO (B) inhibitor .In the UK NICE approved its use last May. It lasts between 6 and 10 times longer in the body than the other MAOIs used for PD - Azilect (Rasagaline) and Selegeline. Safinamide is much more complex than either of these other two MAOIs as it

APO Infusion Pump Giving Me Hope - More ON Time - would like to hear from others who have tried APO infusion.
I would love to hear from others who have tired or are using the apomorphine infusion pump. I started it almost 30 days ago in US drug trial. I have come off a lot of my other PD meds so not sure yet how I am going to feel when I level out and enter maintenance phase but I am very hopeful. Levodopa makes

Research dated 2014 about C/L and rising PD death rate
Well this is disconcerting! Why is C/L on the shelf if this research is reliable we ought to be just using Levodopa https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25364278

Who makes your medicine. Does it make a difference.
I take carbidopa levodopa 25/100 and it works great. Last week my carbidopa levodopa was not working the same and some times not a all. I went one day with no relieve at all. I just happened to notice the maker. It was one that i did not know. There are several different makers. I had some left over

I am new here!
I have RLS and it has just recently affected my upper body: stomach, chest, arms, breathing. I get a panicky, anxious feeling. For years it affected just one leg. Then a few years ago both legs went crazy. A few months ago, it started affecting me all over and not just at night. Now, it is not uncommon

MOVEMENT DISORDERS Parkinson’s disease is the most common movement disorder in developed countries. Even with levodopa therapy the cause of death in such patients is commonly respiratory. Characteristic findings in such patients are a reduction in both maximal static inspiratory and expiratory pressures

Prostate Cancer & Hormones - Prolactin
Evolution has given hormones promiscuous roles in the body. A particular hormone may be involved in a number of unrelated functions. Prolactin, as one might guess, is a hormone mostly associated with milk production, but it has various roles in the male body too. In addition, the prostate has prolactin

Liquefy your L-dopa
The following method for liquefying L-dopa has been shown to have faster on time with less dyskinesia. It is perfectly safe and as it will be shown, has been used with children with amblyopia (lazy eye). Simply put, it is liquifying 5 doses of L-dopa with 1,000 mg of vitamin C/ascorbic acid, is stored

Quercetin/Bromelain peak tissue absorption time
I'm using q/b to accompany natural sourced and standardized levodopa. First day, today. It went better than I expected it to go. I've read a quercetin research study summary and found in there that a mean peak tissue absorption of it in their subjects was 5-6 hours. I am using a blend of both quercetin

Parkinson's pill with the fastest onset of relief?
Which pill for Parkinson's disease provides the fastest relief from "off" symptoms when chewed and swallowed: carbidopa-levodopa 25-100 mg Orally Dissolving Tablets, or ropinirole Immediate Release, or pramipexole Immediate Release ? It seems like the ODT (Orally Dissolving Tablet) form of carbidopa
