hypersensitive to T3
Hi there, I had a thyroidectomy years ago and have been on T4 (levo) only for majority of the time, I sourced NDT to try get some T3 but found I had high reverse T3. I am now taking 100mcg T4 (levo) and started T3 (liothyronine) but find I am very sensitive to the T3. I started with 5mcg in the morning

Questions about using hydrocortisone instead of cortex?
Hi everyone, *post for a friend* does anyone with confirmed low cortisol on a 4 point saliva test currently use HC? Beginning to wonder if cortex might not be enough as I am having a lot of intolerance symptoms persisting after armour dose increases.. (vitamin deficiencies all ruled out/optimised

slightly low cortisol results
Hi. I’m currently on 4.5mg of pred and some days felt very fatigued. Not every day. I requested a cortisol test and it came back slightly low, 334 and I understand it should be over 400. I have been advised to have a synacthen test. Not sure what the treatment is for low cortisol. Is it staying on

Hypothyroidism and fluctuating low cortisol. What to look for privately?
Can anyone direct me where to seek help for the low cortisol fluctuations I am experiencing? It seems I’m on my own trying to sort out low cortisol that isn’t severe enough on blood test to be worth the NHS exploring further. Due to increasing fatigue when my “usual” thyroid & cofactors lab results

More test results… this time cortisol… help please
Hi everyone. I’ve got some results from a cortisol saliva test I did recently. What do you think? Does this mean I am getting adrenal fatigue? I had an SST 4 years ago and was told I was fine but had low cortisol in a previous blood test Also DHEA supplementation??? A bit confused Thanks Eimear

Test Result Assistance Please
I have hashimotos and I have secured an NHS Endo appointment next week. I keep telling the GP surgery I self administer T3 but they don't know much about it to be honest. They referred me to Endo saying I am hyper but historically I am hypothyroid and hence T3 which I have been on for nearly four years

Cellular T3 & cortisol
I must add the following edit since I have researched this question after links were kindly provided - this is what I now understand:
Low cortisol causes T3 to work less effectively within the cells. This is because T3 and cortisol are partners within our cells. High cortisol also causes problems

Has anybody noticed activation of HPA axis with liothyronine use ?
While adding T3 to a substitution mix after TT, soon after (6 years ago) had an extensive test battery that brought back an increased ACTH, with higher but still normally ranged blood cortisol. Also, the substitution mixed kept my TSH supressed, but FT3 within limits, though in the upper side of the

The only one that works is

Please help me form a plan of action based on my blood results!
Just got my bloods back and would appreciate any advice what all these could mean and/or how I can myself get well(er) as I am not at all convinced this knowledge will ever come from my clueless but kind GP and NHS Endo. By way of background, thyroid disease runs in my family, and I have had years

please look at my new test results from my surgery and Medichecks
Results from my Surgery and medichecks. My ferritin has consistently been elevated over the years, but my Dr refuses to take any notice of this. Around the end of 2021, I was put on 25mg of levothyroxine because the last TSH test at my surgery was about 5.2. I had to be quite adamant with the Dr

New blood results - Levo & T3 advice.
Hi all, I could use some advice with my latest results since my last post as now the surgery have messaged me for a dose reduction as they are saying I'm overactive now. I'm pretty sure i'm not, I don't feel over in the slightest, in fact I feel I could use a touch more T3 but I'm not sure if I should

Low Cortisol
So I'm on Long-term Prednisolone and I'm at 5mg. Had a cortisol test at 9am with no pred on board and found out I have low cortisol. What are the next steps?
