Low cortisol, again.
I did saliva test same time than had my thyroid tested. Low again. My TSH was 2.51 (0.4-4) and T4 11 (10-21). Test I never got,but filed a complaint and hope for re-test. The thing is ,I dont understand what is going on. I had thyroid panel done on June 2016 and based on the results i was recommended

Severe Depression with TSH at 4.02
I am so grateful for the posts this week helping with my own hypothyroidism diagnosis. I have also been caring for my poor dad who has had severe depression/anxiety for almost 2 years now. This followed prostate cancer scares and almost losing him to a hospital bug 3 years ago so he has had a rough

Serum cortisol result anyone understand these results?
Hi,I had my first endo appointment two weeks ago. She tested my cortisol and said she could guarantee it would be low and that I had adrenal fatigue. I have just had my results but I don't know what they mean as I don't go back for three months. Does this mean I am ok? Thanks

Hi could someone tell me the best way to privately tests cortisol binding globulin levels please? I want blood tests done (not saliva) that will tell me my cortisol plus the cbg levels because I'm suspecting my symptoms of low cortisol are caused by high cbg levels prob caused by high estrogen. Can anyone help interpret results of a Metypirone test?
My adrenal function has been sluggish with cortisol levels taking almost one year to return to the "normal" range, albeit the lower end of normal. My endo decided to further evaluate the HPA axis. Last week, I was given 3000 of Metypirone at midnight to block adrenal function. At 07:30 the following

Self medicating hypothyroidism, advice??
Hi everyone! (: I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I could really use some advice.. my doctor is useless(what else is new), I know pretty much 100% that I have hypothyroidism. It runs in my family and I have struggled severely with *every* single symptom(including the more specific ones

Blood results advice needed
I have been having hypothyroid symptoms for a year, including weight gain, slow heart rate, tiredness and constipation, to name but a few ! I had blood tests last year due to a missed period which showed Prolactin 850 (range 109-557). TSH 1.85 (range 0.35-5.0). I invested in private bloods in May as

Adrenal Stress results - high cortisol. Noooooo!
I have just had these results and would appreciate any advice tips re: management of high/’high within range’ cortisol, particularly the afternoon one. I have been taking herbal adaptogens (liquorice, ginseng, gingko biloba, California poppy, milk thistle, mother wort and ginger) since March, which

Understanding blood test results
Hi all. After 15 years on levo and constantly suffering from fatigue etc I have pretty much demanded an endo referral. My GP ran some blood tests last week and has sent off the referral. The surgery receptionist has printed off the results for me today. Slightly mystified that there are no thyroid results

PMR returns?
Hi, I developed classic PMR symptoms about a year ago, but with normal blood tests it took a while for my GP to prescribe 15mg pred last October which worked immediately. Rheumy said he couldnt really help until I came off the pred to see what was going on so I tapered off from 15mg to 0 between Jan

My latest test results, dont understand what is going on :(
Now I am borderline for Hashimoto based on TPOab, my TT4 keeps dropping which means I am not producing enough to make T4 and T3, only TSH remains normal. Between these tests on January 2015 I had blood taken on local private clinic when my TSH was 2.3 same range, T4 17(range 10-21) and T3 5.9 (range

rT3 dominance?
I have been wondering lately if I could be suffering from rT3 dominance. I have read that a lot of things can cause rT3 pooling: low cortisol (I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue), blood sugar issues, vitamin and mineral deficiencies... I know some labs offer rT3 testing, but they seem few and

Adrenaline Rushes and Pituitary

Responding poorly to cortisol therapy/hydrocortisone
An adrenal test taken a few months ago indicated moderately low cortisol output throughout the day, however my symptoms have been relatively bad. I wake up groggy and tired, get hypoglycemic reactions after a high protein breakfast, cannot exercise, I have rapidly gained weight and my cognition is impaired
