Leflunomide

I'm staying on leflunomide too. I have a prescription for a higher dose of anti-sickness tabs too (cyclizine). Any ideas on how to combat the headaches and sickness plese? I really can't tolerate peppermint tea, never have. Do you reckon ginger capsules will be any good? Thanks!

I have been on MXT for 3 years, was put onto leflunomide with it...then when that was not working they stopped the Leflun & put me on enbrel (still with mxt).. enbrel was not giving the result that consult wanted, so it was replaced by sulf....... which I could not tolerate, hence I am now back to just

Next week will be 3 yrs since diagnosed :( I was put onto MXT.. then later on, onto Leflunomide.

Also on Leflunomide and low dose steroid. Starting to wonder if it's all in my head. Thanks for reading.

I have been on Sulphasalazine and MTX with horrible sideeffects, now on Leflunomide and after a couple weeks feeling quite poorly with headaches sickness and a rash. Stopped them for a while but still unwell.

Then, I have the monthly bouts of thrush thanks to MTX and headaches from leflunomide and of course, the countless infections and viruses and colds. Sometimes I wonder if it would be best just to let the RA rage on because at least I'd know what to expect.

However it then affected my liver so was put on leflunomide which again seemed to really help and had the added benefit of no brain fog. However it was short lived as I got a very bad rash!

I'm currently on Leflunomide 20mg daily. Just spen a day in hosptial because of high pulse rate. Anybody else now if Leflunimde can cause high pulse rate ?? xx

I am on leflunomide 20mg and I have been having bad back and diarrhea for a couple of weeks. Anybody having the same problem?

I'm on injected MTX (20mg) and leflunomide (10mg). I woke up a couple of days ago with a chesty cough and sore throat. It could be viral or bacterial, I have no idea. Technically, it is a sign of infection but I'm not sure it requires a GP appt.

I have read the leaflets he gave me and I'm leaning towards Leflunomide in the hope that it would knock this swelling and stiffness on the head.

I assumed I'd be taken off one or both my DMARDs but apparently, I will be remaining on leflunomide and MTX for my first 3 months on cimzia. Is this normal? I'm worried about being on these heavy duty medications!

Been on all the usual drugs, methotrexate, leflunomide etc, so only been on pain killlers with no anti inflammatories, due to the usual stomach probs. Just needed to share this and i hope you all are as pain free as can be. Vonnie x

She gave me her direct telephone number if I struggle and she will get the Leflunomide setup for me if I phone her.

Finally settled with taking Leflunomide 20mg daily and Humira 40mg fortnightly. I was sad depressed, lacked energy and drive, and could not commit myself to anything, even the children's' events at school.

My rhuemy doctor has suggested once everything settles down with my liver he may try me on Leflunomide, is anyone else taking this drug, would be interested to know what it's like. I also take sulphasalazine twice a day.

Also have break-through spots of Psoriasis, despite taking MTX, Leflunomide and Biologic Simponi. First thing my dear Rheumy asks is, "have you noticed more fatigue since we increased the leflunomide last time?" Uh, maybe?

I'm having my 2nd DAS assessment in 4 weeks but it's looking very likely that I will come off leflunomide but remain on injected MXT and start this anti-TNF drug (my first).
