How food additives can perhaps affect us: a chocolate story.
Soya
lecithin
can also be used. (I am fine with that!) Using Polyglycerol polyricinoleate maximises profits (of course.) as it's a cheaper ingredient. It is sourced from the Castor Bean (sounds natural...right?)

Lecithins a trigger?
I think that a common ingredient in lots of the things that trigger me, is
lecithin
- both soya and sunflower-based. Anyone else have an issue with lecithins?

Soy lecithin
Luckily a friend warned me about soy when I was first diagnosed but after checking some foods I eat every day I discover they use soy
lecithin
. Is this as bad as soy itself? I’m not scientifically minded so I don’t have a clue and I would appreciate any/all help.

Multi-vitamin and mineral for IBS sufferer
I’ve been taking Ageless Morning and Evening Packs for several years, though I couldn’t tolerate the
Lecithin
complex soft gel. These products are no longer available. Does anyone know of an equally good multi-vitamin and mineral source for someone with IBS?

Over-the-counter protein supplement resulting in impaired thyroxine absorption in a hypothyroid patient
Additionally, some of the other additives like papain enzyme, soy
lecithin
in these protein supplements could interfere with L-thyroxine absorption. There is no evidence in the literature for the effects of protein supplements on L-thyroxine absorption.
