Confused after ultrasound results
She said (her words, not mine) that the only way to tell if I have endo, is if I have a
Laparoscopy
. I have been expedited for this. Has anyone experienced anything similar. I am just so confused now. Is it the Fibroid causing all of this and do I need a
Laparoscopy
after all?

Help to understand laparoscopy findings
I had my endometriosis diagnosis this week through a
laparoscopy
. It's been a long fight to get to this point so I feel relief that I finally have a diagnosis.

Endo care beyond laparoscopy + artificial hormones
Hey! Are there any good endo centres in UK (NHS, or private) where endo is addressed holistically? What I mean by this - where train clinical nutritionist are included in the management plan, as well as endo trained pelvic floor physios. I'm not looking for some hocus-pocus approach, but also not keen

Feeling lost after negative laparoscopy
I am genuinely feeling lost after having had a negative
laparoscopy
. All of my symptoms (e.g. pelvic pain, painful bowl movements etc etc) fit a diagnosis of endometriosis. The consultant I saw was the first to say it & immediately put me down for a
laparoscopy

Anyone have raised ca125 caused by Endo without endometrioma?
My gynaecologist suggested possible endometriosis but is hesitant to do a
laparoscopy
as she doesn’t see the need. I’m just wondering if anyone on here had similar cyclic fluctuations and was later diagnosed with endo after normal scans??

laparoscopy wait times ?
Hi guys, I’m waiting for
laparoscopy
at the CEMIG gynae centre at Ashford, P3 wait list. I’ve been given an appointment for pre-op assessment in a month but still no surgical date. Just wondering how long after pre-op people had surgery? Thanks!!

Anxiety about negative Laparoscopy
If anyone else has felt this way before their diagnostic
laparoscopy
it would just be great to hear from your experiences. I’m inspired by all of your strength and resilience.

Is Laparoscopy worth it based on my symptoms?
Just pay for hysteroscopy to remove fibroid and hope this improves symptoms and wait on nhs waitlist for
laparoscopy
(if seems like needed) The fertility clinic doctor say
laparoscopy
not worth it and to consider ivf if trouble conceiving but wonder if they have vested interests since they are an ivf

Drinking before laparoscopy
Hi everyone, just wondered what you were advised (if at all) prior to your surgery regarding alcohol consumption? I have my surgery on 30th May but I’m at an outdoor concert on Saturday 27th, and was hoping to have a few drinks. I don’t want to go wild as I don’t want a hangover right before an op and

Provera (medroxyprogesterone)
During the consultation I was given two options which was either starting a course of medroxyprogesterone to see how I’d get on as it may help or to go straight for a
laparoscopy
, I went for the medroxyprogesterone as I thought I’d see if it would work for me rather going straight for the invasive option

first laparoscopy tomorrow, any tips?
i’m having my very first
laparoscopy
tomorrow and would really appreciate to hear any tips about things to bring or do to help out with discomfort afterwards. Maybe anything i should expect that they dont necessarily tell you about in the hospital? I have an hour drive home afterwards.

Prostap injections
I have just had my second
Laparoscopy
. One in 2006 and my second one this Monday. They completed the procedure by lasering the endometriosis. They have told me they would like to come back next week to start Prostap injections for the next 3 months. Has anyone else been through this?

Endo help
I had a scan which seemed to show endometriosis but I was told only
laparoscopy
can confirm for sure. I have had all the symptoms for years and at some point used to bleed for months on end.

Advice??
Long story short, I was diagnosed with endometriosis following a
laparoscopy
in July 2020. This was carried out by a non-endo centre with a private surgeon due to covid and NHS waiting lists.

Feeling deflated after first appointment with Gynaecology! Yet another ultrasound! 😢
Hi I’m completely new to the group, joined after my urology doctor referred me to gynaecology to have a
laparoscopy
to investigate endometriosis. Since then I have researched a lot and convinced I have endometriosis! Everything I have been through the last 3 years points to endo.
