I’m 26 and have had painful periods with large clots starting from age 18.
Last year I had a ca125 test and it came back elevated at 54, I had a clear ultrasound and had it retested (whilst on my period) and it had risen to 95. After another retest away from my period it went back down to 53.
6 months later I had my levels tested again and they have remained high but stable at 51. I had a clear CT scan and another normal ultrasound. My gynaecologist suggested possible endometriosis but is hesitant to do a laparoscopy as she doesn’t see the need.
I’m just wondering if anyone on here had similar cyclic fluctuations and was later diagnosed with endo after normal scans??

I’m sure plenty people have had those symptoms. Endo can be microscopic and only found if a biopsy is performed (rarely done). The other conundrum is the amount of endo is not related to the pain, so microscopic amounts can cause more pain than stage IV.
Have you thought about helping your condition through nutrition? The clots imply that things are wrong. Dian Shepperson Mills wrote “Endometriosis: a key to healing and fertility through nutrition “ and uses an anti inflammatory diet to reduce inflammation.
Yes !!! They find raised ca125 along with other miRNA indicators of inflammation associated with endo . They are looking at a combined ca125 + a miRNA as a plasma test for endo and its staging.
