What are your recent experiences of switching from nature throid to a different NDT?
Interested to hear people’s experiences of recently switching from nature-throid to armour or another NDT. As supplies of Nature-throid have stopped I have to move onto a different NDT. If you could let me know what you were on and what you changed to and if/how the dosing changed, that would be great

Extreme bloating - what food should be avoided?
Hi everyone. I started on NDT recently, and still increasing my dose weekly by 1/4 grain. I'm currently on 1 and 3/4 grain but still very much having hypo symptoms (brain fog, fatigue, ringing in my ears + the other usuals). I'm still planning on increasing my dose each week until I reach optimal.

New endo refuses to oversee my care because I want to continue NDT, he only supports Levo, HELP!
My TSH is 0.18 mU/L & has been since 2009. T3 4.2 pmol/L & T4 11.4 pmol/L (within normal range). My new endo is not happy with the TSH result and uses this as a reason not to prescribe NDT. He states research proves no benefit in taking NDT over Levo and it causes atrial fibrillation. Are these blood

Advice on recent blood tests please.
I've just had my results back from my thyroid blood test and it's not what I expected. I've been taking 150mg of Thyrovanz, based on this I think I should be taking nothing. I was diagnosed with Hashi's in 2016 and started taking Thyrovanz in 2018. Any advice gratefully received. BTW, I feel ok!

Alternatives to NDT?
Are there any good experiences of switching from Thai NDT to something similar? Metavive? The new Thyroid S? Have symptoms resolved or increased when switching? I’m coming to the end of my thiroyd so just starting to look at alternatives and people’s experiences of these?

T3 only update, T3 circadian, Heart rate
Hello. Writing an update for those interested in T3 only experiences and struggles. About three weeks ago I started T3 only. I had low storage of T4 so I skipped my morning dose of Levothyroxine and started 25mcg of T3 before bed that evening. Had I been on my usual dose of Levo for several months/years

Advice, please
Hi folks I'm due to have my gallbladder removed on Tuesday, and I had blood done on Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, I didn't think they would be testing my Thyroid, so I took my NDT as normal that morning at 6:30. Today I get a call saying the anaesthetist is concerned because my thyroid results

Just as update on my 6 years of trials and tribulations on thyroid meds as I know a few people are following me. For those that arent familiar with my posts, I have tried everything - NDT, T4, T3 - and have been ill on all of it (even different brands) as quite low levels. By ill, the range of side

Please comments on test results on ERFA NDT trial
I am seeing private Endo tomorrow, so would really value any thoughts on my test results I got this morning. Test was done fasting, 8.00am and 1/2 grain of ERFA taken 10.00pm day before. I have been on trial for nearly 8 weeks. On day one stopped Levothyroxine 100mg and next day straight on to 1/2 grain

Endocrinologist advice and T3 reaction
Hi there again, hope you are all well. I am looking for some recommendations and advice if possible please. So I started taking t3 alongside t4 in February (after some help from this forum) building the dose up slowly to 20mg a day alongside 100mg of Levo. I had a bad skin reaction mainly on my face

Swollen? thyroid once a month or less
Hi - please give me your take on this. Every so often my thyroid feels as if it's swollen and I can feel it when swallowing a bit like those lobes on liver - that's how it feels. After 3 days or so it subsides. It doesn't hurt but it's usually accompanied by slightly enlarges glands above, under the

At my wit's end with GP
I just don't know what to do next. Back in January I had a bad time with anxiety. I called my GP after talking to the mental health team on 111 as no one else would listen. It certainly got a response as my GP spent nearly an hour on phone with me. During that phone call she persuaded me to try coming

Is this as good as it's going to get? I'm new to this forum and infact it's the first time I've dipped my big toe into such waters.
I woke this morning feeling particuraly horrible which is now the new norm but today I wasn't able to endure another day of just getting through it, so I thought I'd share a bit of me for some of you empathic folk out there. My story begins about 7 years ago when I took myself to the GP feeling extremely
