ERFA NDT
hi there. Is anyone on ERFA NDT? I was switched onto it from naturethroid in October as my specialist had reports that naturethroid was 15% lower dosage than what was stated but I'm not sure the ERFA is suited to me. My health has gone really downhill and I'm not sure if it's coincidental or It is the

Pharmacokinetics of NDT (DTE)
I discovered some useful information on NDT pharmacokinetics (rate of uptake, time to achieve peak level in blood, and loss rate). Note that >99% is protein bound, mainly onto thyroglobulin, so it will take time for the hormones to be released from the protein in the stomach/intestine and explains the

T4 way under range
*** edited to add FT3 was 3.20. (Range 2.30-4.20). Doctor did bloods for another issue but TSH & T4 were on there. TSH 0.06 (range 0.55-4.78), so I know being on NDT this low is fine FT4 0.31 (range 0.89-1.76) so am way below range and believe it should be mid range. I take NDT(S-Thyroid) x 1 per day

Looking for the best value adrenal saliva test
From my latest research,it seems"adrenal fatigue"is an out of date concept & what I believe I am experiencing is HPA malfunction. I have been listening to Dr Carrie Jones on YT as a result of a member's post. I don't have the kind of money to spend on Dutch tests & functional medical practitioners.I

Back on levothyroxine, dose upped
Hi, I've had hypo for a while now and felt a bit better before when I was taking 125mcg synthroid. However my GP got scared back then that the TSH was too low and reduced my dose to 75. Of course this made me feel terrible again. So I tried some NDT but didn't fare too well on the Thai brand, that caused

High T3 - Advise needed please
Hi, Can anyone advise? I have a high T3 of 8.3 (13 hours after NDT dose) and concerned it might cause a problem. I do not have palpitations or jitters etc. Exhausted but calm. Is it ok to have a T3 that high? Many thanks in advance

My latest blood results on NDT and T4, what's next?
Good morning, I have Hashimoto's disease and have been on Armour, Nature Throid and now on Armour again (due to Nature reformulation) for the past over 6 years. TSH high - everything else normal
36 year old male based in England here. I posted last week about my frustration of being refused at least a trial of treatment following blood test results which showed a TSH of 4.7. I have experienced debilitating symptoms of fatigue, depression, brain fog, cold intolerance and weight gain for the last

Acella / ERFA -NDT
Hello All! Does anyone have any experience with Acella / ERFA NDT? Curious...have this ever been recalled? Does anyone know any history of these? What does our unconverted T4 from our thyroid and /or, our unconverted T4 from our NDT medication actually do in our bodies?
If a large % of our T4 gets converted to T3, what happens to the remaining T4 and what action does it have on our body before it get expelled please? Im curious to know why some of us need some T4 (despite the DIO2 fault) and what its action is and to which organs in particular it assists. Any advise

I don't understand
I just got my blood results back from Thriva and they may as well be in Dutch for all the sense they make to me. I had them done via Thriva a few years ago and it showed an underactive thyroid at TSH 5.7mu/L plus Vitamin D deficiency at 38.52nmol/L. My doctor refused to accept the results, did his own

Hi everyone, I am fast running out of NDT and everywhere still seems to be out of stock. Does anyone know of anyone having Thiroyd or Thyroid S available? Or any other similar alternatives. If you could pm me any sources I would really appreciate it. I'm so worried as I cut my dose in half and started

How to test thyroid on NDT
Hello all, I believe I read on here that people should take it 8 - 12 hours before a blood test. I have tried doing that, however, it is impossible for me to sleep. I toss and turn all night wide awake, most likely due to the t3. Is this the only way I can get accurate thyroid results? Thanks!

Hyperparathyroidism and T4 levels?
Hi Does anyone here have Hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) and has found that their TFTs are suddenly weird? A usual result for me is TSH anywhere between 0.7 and 2.5 (0.3 to 5), a fT3 of 3.1, range (3 - 6.9) (poor converter) and a fT4 of 18.5 (12-22). The previous 2 tests I had done, both times they did not

My NDT isn’t working
Hi just looking for any information regarding my medication as I’m currently taking between 150 and 200 grain of NP thyroid and I’m feeling exhausted like when I was first diagnosed 23 years ago! I was on Nature NDT until they had issues and stopped producing it. I paid a lot of money to get this NP
