I just don't know what to do next. Back in January I had a bad time with anxiety. I called my GP after talking to the mental health team on 111 as no one else would listen. It certainly got a response as my GP spent nearly an hour on phone with me. During that phone call she persuaded me to try coming off levo completely. She promised to do tests and get to the bottom of my problems so I reluctantly agreed. My doc has always had a problem because I get a private prescription and I've had many an argument with them and they always blame the thyroid medication on any problem I may have. 10 weeks on I have been off levo but now they aren't interested. I've been more or less told to get lost. I've been through all sorts of hypo symptoms and even new ones I've never had before. Two weeks ago I had a test done by medichecks as doc refused saying I hadn't been off levo long enough.
I had the full check, still no antibodies.
TSH has gone to 4.61 (0.35-4.2)
T4 17 (10-22)
T3. 5.17. (3.1-6.8)
Vitamins etc all in a very good place. Only thing worrying me is albumin being 35 (35-50) calcium below range at 2.18 (2.2-2.7) potassium has gone down to 4 (3.5-5.3) but doc says I'm normal. My heart problems during the night have got worse, it's happening much more often they gave me propranolol for that. If I go without the propranolol my resting heart rate goes 95-105. On levo it was in the 70's. I want off the propranolol but I can't cope without it my heart rate goes crazy and I freak out! I'm not sure what to do as T3 is now better than it's ever been as I'm taking selenium. Should I ride this out and try to live without thyroid medication? My hair has been falling out and I have gained 2 stone! Aches and pains are back and I'm sleeping a lot. As soon as I sit down I fall asleep. The high heart rate and the palpitations are doing my head in. Doctor just said z bit of adrenaline won't do me any harm! I've tried levo, NDT and T3 in the past I can't tolerate any of them they all make me unwell give me palpitations and bad headaches. Doc says if they can't write a prescription to fix my problems then they can't help me!
Any ideas please? When I was given medication by private doc TSH was 2.8, T4 was 13 and T3 was 3
