Keppra increases
Started on 250mg. keppra tonight after failing clonodine quickly (leg cramps and increased blood pressure did in that one). 250mg isn't enough, at least tonight, and I am wondering how quickly I should increase. Doc says I can go up to 750mg. and I have a terrible time with tolerating medicines. Any

Irritability in the evenings
I have always had a hard time transitioning from work to home. Even before I had kids, I would have to decompress before I could even talk to my husband. With kids, it’s worse because I just have to jump into being with them, making dinner, laundry etc. I have built in a little break for myself that

New ADHD diagnosis for my 6 year old girl
My little girl is newly diagnosed with ADHD though I’m not that shocked. The past year of school has been incredibly challenging: hitting the teacher, explosive emotions, easily frustrated, highly impulsive. This school year started and after she headbutted the floor, I decided to consult a doctor. The

I had I seizure in 2010 and my MRI was clear, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t have an EEG. I was put on Epilim chrono 1200 mg and have been seizure free since. I went privately so looks like they just signed me off and I never got any NHS follow ups. About a year ago I went back to my GP and asked due

Help with blood test interpretation for my daughter
Hello Everyone, I'm new here and asking for my 18 year old daughter. I've come over from the Thyroid UK forum at their suggestion. She's been quite unwell for about 3-4 years slowly getting worse. We've been stuck with unhelpful medics both private and NHS who have not got anywhere with her symptoms

What dose of adderall is your child on?
Hi everyone! My son is 7 years old and up to 15mg of Adderall XR. I don’t see it working much anymore and the next increase will be 20mg. If your kid is around the same age and on Adderall, please share their milligram/dosing. Or did your kid not have the best results on it and switch to another stimulant

Claiming PIP again!
Hi I had bilateral chronic subdural haematoma and burr hole drainage in Feb 2022. I had a fall and broke my leg the previous summer which led to the brain bleeds. I applied for PIP last year after coming out of hospital and even though I went to tribunal I scored 0 points. I've just made the phone call

Rheumatoid Meningitis
Has anyone out there had rheumatoid meningitis? I was recently treated for it and am looking for others who have had this experience or just experience with recovering from aseptic meningitis in general. I was diagnosed with RF positive RA in 2012. My disease has been stable on Cimzia for 6+ years.

Hi all, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy approximately 30 years ago, i had a spell of nasty seizures. However I was controlled for decades on Phenytoin without my levels checked or being given any care regarding Epilepsy since that time. This lead me to hiding other ill effects, including from the medication

I'm new
I'm new to this forum. I had viral encephalitis in December 22 and was admitted to hospital following a seizure. I have since been diagnosed with brain scarring and some atrophy. I take Keppra to prevent seizures. I had hoped to recover quicker but I'm finding it a very slow process. I can now read and

Strange episodes/auras
Ive been having these a lot just lately, like 3 or 4 some days, none on other days. GP has said they are known as a Focal Seizure. It starts with a warm feeling on the right side of my face and head, then a sick feeling and a pulsating in my right ear. Also BP seems to increase, my highest reading was

Adderall XR 20mg
I was finally diagnosed after a lifetime of feeling unmotivated and not like a normal person. I’m 35.. My doctor wanted to put me on Vyvance to help with weight loss as well, but my insurance won’t cover it until I try other alternatives. So he recommended Adderall XR 20mg. Today was my first day. I

Child with ADHD and Severe Mood Swings
My wife and I have 2 children with ADHD. Our son is 10 and is having some very defiant mood swings. Usually every morning before his medicine and again in the evenings when his medication is wearing off. We are wondering if it is ODD or just mood shifts from the lack of medicine in his system. Consequences

National Shortage
Sorry if this has already been posted, but I am wondering how everyone is handling the shortage? I first heard that it was adderall and my son wasn't being affected because he takes Focalin xr. Last time refill they could only give me 20 instead of 30. I called right now to possibly up my sons dose
