Methotrexate - Very good and informative videos for RA patients!!
I came across these videos when I was looking for the natural remedy to maintain my remission. I found them very informative and very good hence would like to share with all of you. We went up a little hill 2 weeks ago in another state and had a good time over there together with my girl friend.

Things are looking up!
I posted on here a few days ago as my dad has pif and had declined dramatically over the last two weeks. He was admitted to hospital a week ago stuck in a cycle of coughing, shortness of breath and passing out. The hospital and his consultant were useless, he was discharged the following day and we

Help Coming off of Prednisone
I have been on Arava for almost 2 months - doing very well. I am to try to come off of my 5mg prednisone. Last week I started taking it every other day and it seemed ok. However, last night (Sun) I woke up with terrible pain - in some joints but mostly in my teeth. It felt like all of my teeth were

Slow letters to GPs
Why is it that consultants secretaries take so long to send letters to GPs? I know from experience that it does take a while usually about 3 weeks for the letters to be typed and forwarded to GPs but 5 weeks on and I am still waiting for my GP to get a letter from my Scleroderma specialist, to the extent

I'm a registered nurse with a wonderful blended family 3 lovely kiddos between us. I was diagnosed about 3 months ago following months of painful joints and exhaustion. I had made subtle adjustments to daily life such as a lighter coffee mug and flipping my heavy bamboo pillow at night without even

Anxious about appointment
Good afterno Starting to think about my appointment on Tuesday feeling apprehensive. It is my second assessment for biologics. I will either be put forward or if not successful start Arava. I was given 4 drug leaflets to look at, to be honest not really looked to closely. Don't want to get my hopes

Arava and beneficial weight loss.
I had to discontinue mtx in May for bone marrow suppression (hospitalized). I'm also on Cimzia, but it wasn't holding up as monotherapy, so I started Arava (leflunomide). I've been on it a month and a half. For the first time I've actually benefitted from the side effect of weight loss, 11 pounds

Dry Mouth
I was diagnosed with Parkinsons about 8 years ago. I have recently started having a dry mouth resulting from a lack of saliva. This has caused me to have a very sore tongue, amongst other things. As this is a recent problem, I wonder if it is due to an addition to my medication. I have been prescribed

Arava
After having been on mtx for 9 months, I was taken off it 7 weeks ago due to a cough, lung function tests, x rays and ct scan later I have today been given arava instead of the mtx. The leaflet says NO ALCOHOL but I do like a drink now and again especially when on hol... which I was hoping we could

Biologics...scary?
I am going to be put on biologics. Not sure which one yet, depends on the insurance (I live in Canada). I'm really scared guys. I never took Tylenol for a headache before I was diagnosed a year ago. I was quite ill on mtx pills, then tried injections. Same. My current medication, Arava + Vimovo, hasn't

At least another three months
Had my first visit to the biologics clinic and I do not qualify for biologics because I am not on MTX and didn't stay on it for 3 months before I stopped taking it, same with arava and now same with imuran. So my choices are go back on mtx and hope I don't kill someone due to the manic rage I experienced

I went on the trial last year at Guys and am sure I had the BIP as for almost 6mth I fekt really good and bloods were much improved. I was holding out with high
