Another worry - rapid gut transit digesting / undigested food
Hi all, I can't shake this stress and anxiety which is accompanying my most recent flare, and potentially a bought of gastritis. My stools were all over the shop last week, mostly loose, some very runny - up to 3 times a day. Just to add, I had normal bloods and stools back 6 weeks ago. But I've been

Epigastric pain - freaking out
Hi all, I had a really bad flare up on holiday last week - I suffer from IBS-D. It stressed me out and I went off my food, and started to feel nauseaous as well as burping a lot. Then Saturday I started to get waves of burning / cramp like pains in my epigastric area - in the middle below my ribs.

IBS-D, nausea and burping
So after a few bad flareups over the last few months, I had bloods and stool tests done again at the doctors a month or so ago, everything came back normal - like they did a few years ago, although I had a sigmoidoscopy back then as well. Bloods were FBC, liver, thyroid, inflammation, celiac and some

Mebeverine
Hi can anyone tell me what the difference is between taking the Mebeverine tablets and the capsules please. Is one better than the other? I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow, should I be asking him to prescribe a prebiotic do you think. All so new to me but you are all great helping me. Thanks

Mornings
Hi All. I have IBS mixed. I'm also being treated for reflux, although this seems to be taking a long time to show any improvement, as symptoms are up and down. Every morning I wake with stomach ache, wind and sometimes nausea and coughing. The nausea and cough I can put down to the reflux. But how can

How do you cope with stomach/colon cramping?
I have started to get them more frequently, and they are excruciatingly painful to the extent that I have no choice but to lie down for the rest of the day and hope it somewhat passes by the following day (just for it to come back a couple of days later). Even sitting up can be very uncomfortable!

Day 3 of cramps.. Getting me down.
Hi guys, I usually only suffer with ibs-D and very rarely suffer with cramps. But after eating wholemeal earlier in the week, I've been left with awful cramps. The cramps are very low down, exactly where I would get period cramps and it's a constant dull pain. Is this similar to what others get with

Hi, I’m a 25 year old female and for over 2 years now I have been struggling with IBS-C. I do have frequent BMs but I don’t feel like I’ve been able to empty completely. I am constantly bloated and in pain from cramps, often high up in my gut (it feels like things are being blocked from passing

Endo , mirena or post covid issues? Any advice!
Bit of a long one so please bare with me! I finally got my first UK diagnosis in January 2022 - I was diagnosed in 2015 but that was when I was living in Cyprus and it was an emergency surgery due to internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst. So endometriosis wasn't really explored, she just told me after

Help with blood results for my 10 year old daughter please.
My daughter 10 has had ongoing stomach pain for 16 months now. It started as an intermittent pain happening every 6-8 weeks but fast forward to now it’s daily and gets severe on occasions. She has been admitted twice with suspected appendicitis as the pain gets that bad she can’t move. It’s a sharp,

Bloating and cramps
Hi there, I have suffered with IBS symptoms for 13 years, following invasive surgeries and cancer treatment in the abdomen (cervical cancer.) I had a lot of different tests etc over that time with nothing conclusive, and a suggestion that adhesions across the abdomen likely play a part. My flare ups
