At a dead end with GP, where to go from here?
This started a year ago, I had a full blood panel with symptoms of light period, cold, tired, etc (I assumed
iron
deficiency) the results showed very low vitamin D and a tsh of 5.8 and tpo 98.

T3 only worth another PROPER go?
(
Iron
is already rubbish) I’m having loads of symptoms of low stomach acid- acid reflux, poor digestion, constipation, no appetite. My dr has been adamant that T3 mono is still likely the best option for me.

Looking for RLS specialist in New York
Got
iron
infusions for Covid and side effect was my RLS disappeared for a month after each. I always have low but not quite anemic
iron
levels so docs won't prescribe more infusions. Need a doc who will go by RLS
iron
guidelines.... Not anemia. Send help! 😩

Abnormally high thyroid levels
I take daily 3000iu of Vit D oral spray ( and went on holiday to a Med country in autumn),
iron
regularly (alternate days ), selenium daily and magnesium 3 times a week. I took the test about 9am but had taken Levo about 8 hours previously. My levels have never been this high.

Berberine Is a Promising Alkaloid to Attenuate Iron Toxicity Efficiently in Iron-Overloaded Mice

NAFLD and Fatigue
I was diagnosed with
iron
deficiency anaemia at the beginning of last year, which was treated, and then low vitamin B12 which I’ve had injections for and will be every 3 months, so as you can imagine it’s a bit of a puzzle for me and my GP to work out what is causing what!

Feeling hopeful.
I asked for blood tests for VitaminsD and B12 and
iron
. I found out consultants had asked for a raft of tests too so I got the whole lot done together. She also referred me to the sleep clinic and prescribed a new spray for my sinuses.

Can NDT make Hashimoto's worst?
I've been gluten free for eons and take all the other supplements to keep
iron
, B12, D, etc in good ranges. If you take NDT with Hashi, do you mind sharing if it has been working for you please?

Fed up, drained! Thyroid?
I take vitamin D 4000iu daily,
Iron
citrate 14mg, Omega 3, Zinc Piccolinate 22mg (I notice white spots appear on my nails if I stop taking it), Vitamin B complex. Diet wise, I don't eat any red meat or fish (I do eat chicken), have fruit and vegetables daily and drink Kefir.

Tirosint
I am unable to take tablet form levothyroxine, I have a gene issue with metabolising some medications. I have started liquid thyroxine but I think the ingredients are affecting my stomach and I have been told to stop taking this to see if it is the cause. I see that Tirosint is quite pure but not sure

Mornings
In 2020, I had low
iron
and it got worse. It doesn’t freak me out as I’ve accepted it and still can mostly hear it in a silent room - apart from mornings when it’s worse. The hissing sound is worse and then it settles after I get up and start the day. I also hear like zaps upon waking.

advice on taking thyroxine at night ?
I also take ferrous sulphate for
iron
but been advised to take this separately as it counter acts with the thyroxine.

Magnesium test result - do I need to supplement?
Have done Medichecks test for
iron
and just started supplementing on advice here. Also supplementing Vit D3, K2, B complex w folate and awaiting Selenium and copper test results (no zinc test available at medichecks so opting for zinc/copper seesaw approach).

Targeting iron metabolism in immune system cells may offer a new approach for treating systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
They also found that T-cells from lupus patients have high levels of
iron
, even though the patients are usually anaemic, so it was not clear why the T-cells had elevated
iron
levels and what it meant.
