best anesthesia for knee replacement surgery ?
Apparently I am one of the lucky ones for whom only daily
iron
supplementation eventually worked to rid my body of this dreadful condition. Or, was my RLS possibly simply triggered by anesthesia?

Is it worth having a private iron panel done when the NHS results can be so different?
There is no way I could rely on the private tests to make a case for help with
iron
from GP.

iron infusions - how often and how many?
Hello dear fellow RLS sufferers, would like to find out about your experience with
iron
infusions. My mom just had one couple days ago. Her ferritin is 96, and saturation is 19.6. Today she was able to nap during the day, and she wasn't able to do that for a while because of RLS.

My Efforts to Educate the Scientific Community
I believe fluoride damages the intestinal lining and interferes with
iron
absorption. Fluoride may also increase the expression of hepcidin which down regulates
iron
absorption. Current treatments for RLS include
iron
infusion and/or supplementation.

What TSH level is too low on NDT + low sodium
I supplement with B12, D, folate,
iron
. So TSH looks too suppressed. Should I lower NDT to 1,5 grains? Should I aim to see my TSH at 0.4 and not lower than that? My BP, temperature and pulse have been fine. But I have been feeling nauseous and weird.

The problem with Buprenorphine, BTBD9 and serotonin syndrome
It’s known to contribute to RLS and it does have something to do with poor
iron
metabolism and adenosine build up. Nothing much one can do about that! In addition, it’s clear to me that I suffer from serotonin toxicity which is a mild form of serotonin syndrome.

iron panel
Has anyone improved their
iron
panel results by using Ancestral grass fed liver supplements? I know they are mega expensive so I’m asking for any comments before they buying it. I’ve tried 3 arrows before. 🙏

Pregabalin side effect – mental health
But, on the plus side: taking the Pregabalin for several months gave me some relief while the
iron
tablets took effect, which has definitely improved (if not fully resolved) things.

Can't find proper thyroid medication
My vitamins are all optimal as well (vtiamin D,
iron
, ferratin, b12, selenium). I've also had my adrenals tested and the levels are normal. when taking t4 only or t4 + t3 I feel the most "normal" but I have TONS of hair shedding, and it doesn't stop.

Iron Infusion Attempt
This week I saw Dr Robin Fackrell privately at Bath Sulis Hospital to discuss whether an
iron
infusion would be an appropriate way forward for me and if so how I could progress this.

Iron and magnesium levels plus
I've been asked to go back for retest on the magnesium but no mention of the
iron
? Looking back on my test results I had the serum ferritin checked in July 2017 and it was 63ng/ml then so has gone down even more. The Transferrin saturation index was 25% which I think is ok?

Finally somebody that listens AND understands !!!
After reading something on here I contacted an
iron
clinic in Cambridge, and spoke to Dr K, not sure if I can use names etc in here. What followed was a few emails and a consultation a couple of days ago.

Would anyone recommend the progesterone birth control pill?
I have never been on any type of hormonal birth control and due to struggling with low
iron
, my doctor wants me to take the pill to give me a chance at building my
iron
stores back up.

Only 31 and worried
Increasing dietary
iron
(meat, fish, eggs etc) or taking tablets(available otc) will help. Taking something rich in Vitamin C (eg Kiwi fruit, orange juice, green leafy veg) at the same time aids absorption of the
iron
. Also, one of the liver tests is a little raised.

Any thoughts on my friend's thyroid results, please?
D: 48% through range (could be a bit better)), although various
iron
markers are a bit low.
