Anyone know anything about ferritin and trans ferritin saturation levels?
How do I increase my
iron
levels if I need to, with high transferritin saturation levels? I should add that I am mostly vegetarian and take a multivitamin that has quite a low strength level of
iron
in it. Active B12 is 61pmol and folate is 18.3 ug is this ok?

Just need some advice on self injecting.
I also had vitamin D deficiency and was slightly anaemic, so I’m on life long vitamin D supplements and went on
iron
tablets for a short time.

Help coming off .35mg Pramipexole - UK
As I don’t know my
iron
levels, I have ordered an at-home
iron
test to send away to a Lab as the wait time at my GP to talk to someone is 5-6weeks. I have only been taking a regular multivitamin over the years and the amount of
iron
is 14mg in a pill.

Does iron in hard water interfere with levodopa uptake?
Is this the same form of
iron
that interferes with levodopa? Should we bring our own water, or is high
iron
in drinking water ok? Thanks.

Iron Panel Interpretation
My results: -
Iron
, Serum: 74 mcg/dL - TIBC: 267 ug/dL - Percent Saturation Transferrin: 28% - Ferritin: 176.0 ng/mL Assuming the units of measurements for ferritin are what you expect, apparently my numbers are OK? And if so, it's not
iron
issues causing my PLMD?

Diagnosis at last! Haemochromotosis?
However the biggest surprise was a diagnosis of haemochromotosis which is a rare genetic blood disorder that causes a build up of
iron
in your organs, often liver and pancreas. He is starting venesection treatment for that shortly. Anyone got any experience of this?

Does anyone have any direct experience of Targinact?
My
iron
/ferritin/saturation levels are all being checked with a view to a Ferinject infusion, and my psychiatrist is kind, caring and knowledgeable, so I feel I'm in good hands. But I'm still terrified and wonder how much Targinact I'll need to take to get the RLS under control.

Some Potentially Alarming Changes to Blood
Lymphocytes as a percentage have increased from 77% to 82% WBC went from 12.4 to 19.8 Monocytes tanked from 6% yo 3% Though somehow ABS Monocytes are still in normal range at 0.59 I asked for an
iron
panel and ferritin as well as a B12 screen--those all look normal.
