Transitioning from NDT to T3 (slowly) - anyone done this? Or combines NDT with t3?
My vits are all optimal as recommended on here including midrange ferritin (after
iron
IV). My cortisol in saliva is low normal on 2 out of 5 points a day, while my blood serum cortisol is high in range.

Dr's Appointment
He has reduced dose from 100/75 to 75 and said that I can take
Iron
pills for extreme tiredness even though my
iron
levels are fine, but my ferritin is low. I would appreciate your opinions on this as I thought you shouldn't take
Iron
in this case 🤔

Update on my daughter - 5 months later - Tell me what would you do if you were me? Please please help!
At least it moved, AND while I have masterfully balanced her
iron
about 75% through range - proud of myself on that one!
- Vit D
. Lack of absorption not encouraging. Was 29 in Dec, now it's 37, despite an early loading dose and 2000 iu/daily.
- Others
. Added magnesium this week.

PA/b12 and ferratin
He said he could put me on an
iron
protocol. Have you heard of this, this is the first offer of help I have had, he said my ferritin levels were at 35 and the lowest they had been for several years, when I ask my G.P he always says they are fine, but I know they are wrong.

Does donating 1 liter of blood increase chance of going back into Afib?
I need to have 1 liter of blood drawn because my
iron
levels are too high. Does anyone know if taking out that much blood will increase my chances of going back into Afib? ie: perhaps dehydration??? Also, it will decrease blood volume temporarily so could that knock me out of sinus rhythm?

So far I’ve avoided medication, instead taking
iron
and magnesium and exercise. My RLS comes every night but has gotten much worse in the recent past (hoping that my ion has dropped and this is the reason ) but I don’t think so.

Advice after possible Covid
For example, one thing I heard was that Covid depletes our
iron
levels. I heard somewhere VitB3 helps too. Thanks!

Iron Level for RLS
My recent
Iron
blood test results showed my level was 108. Because I was seeing another doctor while mine was on leave I had to explain the my levels are usually over 127. I figured my
iron
needed to be increased so I asked for an
iron
infusion.

NHS Endo - South East - Pro T3 - Three referral choices...
At around the same I had my local surgery test for blood FBC, blood sugar, cholesterol, calcium folate, B12
Iron
etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues. To my surprise they also checked my FT4, FT3 and TSH.

Iron Levels
Also on would basis would I be able to justify an
iron
infusion as my doctor wasn't very keen when I mentioned it before. My RLS continues to gradually worsen so what would be my next change of drugs you would recommend. Thanks John

update from Ruffabug (End of life plan)
He will be working in conjunction with the hospice doctors.I may suggest to him that I have an
iron
panel done sometime soon but for now I am much more at peace with it and am worrying less about the future. Please feel free to comment but I don’t think I could change the plan for the time being.

Consultation with Prof Walker
Meanwhile I'm taking oral
iron
as my ferritin level is low at 49 ng/ml with a view to getting an
iron
infusion if it is not up to 100 ng/ml in 3 months time. I just wonder do I just go with it and trust him to get some sleep??? 🙄 As always, would welcome any views, especially on the DA's x

where to go from here
On the other hand my Serum
Iron
and
iron
binding saturation always run high, and my heamoglobin/HCT is always high so I didnt want to take
iron
supplements, but I think this now needs to be addressed, what should I do? anyway to increase ferratin without increasing the other markers?

the curse of lifelong RLS…
I eventually had the blood test, ferritin was low at 19 ng/ml and, refusing an
iron
transfusion, he prescribed a course of oral
iron
which I took for many years. At my request when I was 54 a kinder GP referred me to the neurology department at Kings College hospital London.

High TSH, increasing TPO antibodies, latest results!
I'm really fed up with the symptoms now, fatigue, feeling cold, hair falling out like crazy, my throat always feeling like something is blocking it.....and I'm worried she will do nothing or just prescribe me
iron
tablets (test also showed I'm anemic). Thanks in advance.

thoughts on result update
She has been on
iron
for 8 weeks. The first results are for September. And the second for December. Not all we’re done in September. Range in brackets.

has anyone gone back to t4 after trying thyroid-s?
Ive upped my
iron
as well this time round and was hoping that would help. I still wonder what I did wrong with the Thyroid-s and wish it could have worked, but maybe its not for everyone, ie me?
