Hi everyone, I wanted to ask , I had rai 2013 and a year after started experiencing ectopic beats. Took a hold of my life. They come amd go , hearts tests all clear. Does anyone else get them and think they are from not having a thyroid? Getting a dose right is near impossible , and drs say.no. connection

Hi, I am quite new here so unsure how it all works. I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, bulging disc, fibro, nerve damage, problems in my knees . I knew about the disc whilst working but saw a chiropractor twice a year & kept fit walking. I'm now unable to work since my back went in 2020. Sciatica

I heard that there is more need for iodine in pregnancy and am considering taking extra (in the form of liquid iodine - a few drops absorbed into the skin daily). However I am a bit apprehensive about whether this is a good idea or not. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on this? Thanks!

Does some of your thyroid remain if you have a low dose of radioactive iodine meaning you may not go completely under active? Thank you for looking and any advice or thoughts you may offer.

I've seen a lot of posts recently on how inflammation is the main cause of RLS. But if so, why don't NSAIDs alleviate RLS? I'm on codeine, but would rather be taking ibuprofen or aspirin if they worked. Alas, they don't. : (

It presents with low urine iodine. I believe impaired deiodinase (D2) presents a special problem because it regulates local T3 levels near the cell nucleus, T3 saturation at receptors.
