Have you tried getting stuff out of an ampoule with an 8mm needle?
It's b*%+@y difficult. Getting very frustrated at wasting half the dose. So, a question. Is there a huge problem with getting the full measure from the ampoule with a longer syringe, then injecting it into the back of the insulin syringe before putting the plunger back in again (being extraordinary careful

Is there any relation between alcohol and insulin ?
If one is taking alcohol should there be any time difference between two ? Or both can be taken simultaneously. Any thought ?

Food issues
I have been on the Animas Vibe insulin pump almost 1 year now (type 1 diabetes 43 years on insulin). I feel I should definitely be getting better blood sugar results (daily tests, I test about 8 times a day). I tweak my basal rates . I know I am eating too many sweet things, I have a very sweet tooth

DEXCOM and Battery/Power Issues (DEXCOM y Cuestiones de la Batería/Poder)
Well, what a crazy start to the day I had this morning after finishing with my breakfast. When I was about to enter the dose for my insulin into the DEXCOM's insulin section on the receiver, the screen went blank and I couldn't get anything to show up! After I went to get the wall charger for the receiver

There's some left in the ampoule - is it ok?
I know, I know, another daft question but here goes. I have just done my third injection on my own (rather chuffed) and I've only just realised that once the 1ml insulin syringe is full there is still about 1/4 to 1/3 of the stuff left in the ampoule. Am I missing something? Which is the correct dose

New on this programme
Just joined and I have a LOT of weight to lose. Tried various different methods in the past, but I struggle due to PCOS (which has affected my insulin resistance) and spending at least half my time on the road, which in turn means I eat out. A lot. So, looking forward to getting back in control, hopefully
