My pain does not feel like my joints. I have no swelling of joint. I just hurt. More like sore muscles. I have numbness on the left side of my body from brain surgery in 2011. I also am an insulin diabetic. With all this my doctor said I was hard to dignore. My RA test says "week positive" could my doctor be wrong in saying I have beginning of RA?

Could it be fibromyalgia?

Just lab. The RA part just said weak positive.

You need to identify with a Rheumatoligist. Last I knew there are like over 106 different kinds of arthritis and you will need a specialist to figure that one out. Many blessings your way and also R/A is often muscular too.

Keep looking up!!!

Do you know exactly what lab test? Certain test could be positive for more than one issue. A CCP test is for RA only, as far as I know. If its definitely RA, you want to start treatment ASAP. Good luck to you. This is a hard road, but keep positive.... a good attitude with positivity makes a difference!

My CCP was negative but I was diagnosed RA. It is not conclusive too though. Read more to get yourself prepare. This is no doubt a very tough journey but you will be fine if you work closely with your rheumy and do a lot of exercises.

One of the ones that I took was an RA factor test...that may be what Cathy is referring to. The range for that is 0-13.9. Mine was 559.6 lol.

Sounds like fibro to me but, I am not a Dr. I have RA and fibro and I have learned to distinguish between the 2 different types of pain. That does not make it any easier.
