Lung crackles - and endless frustration
For the past few months I've been getting a crackling in my lungs when I breathe in, which mostly happens while I'm lying down at night. My asthma nurse didn't think this was an asthma thing and referred me to my rheumatologist - I also have rheumatoid arthritis. The rheumatologist didn't think it was

Steroid dependent- 30 mg for 6 mo. When we lower, asthma symptoms return, missing work today
I also take all the high dose
inhalers
- dulera, spiriva respimat, montelukast and a biologic- Dupixent. Now I’m 3 days after the 25 mg and woke at 3 am with severe asthma cough- took albuterol and about an hour to be able to lay back down and sleep again. Worn out and don’t feel well today.

Mitral Valve Regurgitation
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and looking for some advice. This is a long one so bear with me. I've been suffering with really bad health issues for a few years now. I'm a keen cyclist/runner. That all came to a halt when I started getting really bad chest pains, nausea, dry cough etc. GP sent

Advice please re priority/vulnerable vaccine groups
I'm 54, live in Scotland and in late 2018 had a spiro test after collapsing at work, I was diagnosed as severe Stage 4 COPD. A few weeks later I was having frequent chest pains and referred to a cardiologist. From Oct 2018 to Oct 2020 I've had 15-20 ambulance admissions to A&E with chest pains and I

As I had taken my

this morning she wasn't going to do reversibility and then decided why not yet reversibility was only 13.5%.

Cough. Ongoing.
My
Inhalers
help with breathlessness and wheezing which is good. Spirometry and peak flow was used to diagnose my asthma-started 4 months ago. Not looking for answers really, just getting things off my chest, or rather not! Awful joke sorry. Anyone got anything similar with their cough?

Breo versus Flovent
When changing
inhalers
are you more susceptical to getting an asthma attack or sick ? Also is anyone on Breo and how is it working for you ? I am quite afraid to change things because risking getting sick again . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated .

Worried for the future of Asthmatics
I'm very concerned about a policy shift within my medical practice which I'm told is actually government driven. I'm asthmatic and have been since childhood, it's no big deal, I manage it pretty well but during the course of my day I invariable need to use my Ventolin inhaler. There's triggers I try

How do I know if my asthma is mild/moderate etc?
I have ongoing daily symptoms (coughing/rattly phlegmy chest/intermittent tightness) and have had so for 4 years now. I have just been given Fostair 200/6 inhaler instead of my usualAirFluSal and continue to take montelucast, mometasone nasal spray and an antihistamine. GP says if this doesn't work

Inhaler shortage.
I have been using Bricanyl as my reliever inhaler for over four years now. For the first time, yesterday it was missing from my repeat prescription and have to wait for a text message when it arrives at the pharmacy. Understandable I suppose, it is made by AstraZeneca. There are a few puffs left in the

Has anyone been signed off work by their GP with anxiety?
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has been signed off with anxiety? I'm really struggling to be honest! Work hasn't been great the past year or two, on top of covid and all the anxieties and stess that has brought with working in a nursery on top of having underlying health conditions... to top it all

Asthma exacerbation
I went for a run in the very cold weather on Tuesday and forgot to wear a buff to cover my mouth. When I got back my windpipe felt sore and I had to take my inhaler. I’m still feeling a bit wheezy a few days later. Anyone had this experience that lasted this long? I’m on Fostair and have started add

Fostair causing coughing?
I have been diagnosed with asthma, either atopic asthma or non-asmatic allergic bronchitis in February of last year, had one appointment and now followed by a consultant vis phone appointments. I was on Clenil 100, 2 puffs 2x a day, and having sore throat, hoarse voice, etc. After a trial of montelukast
