Asthma slow onset and atypical - getting help
Hi, I have the sort of asthma that doesn't fit the norm in that I don't weeze. I get breathless from doing things like walking but when I sit down it tends to go away after awhile. Last month I had a hell of an experience trying to get help for my worsening asthma symptoms. Part of the problem is covid

learning disabled but not on flu jab list
Every year it is the same - I get called to have a flu jab - as I am a carer and I have asthma and then I book a jab for my son at the same time. I always have a bit of a tussle with reception who try to tell me he isn't on the list. I explain he is entitled, and after a bit of a discussion, we make

Random symptoms and new allergies??
I wondered if anyone has had anything similar to me as this year has been terrible and the doctors and nurses I have seen aren’t able to give much explanation. My symptoms consist of my chest becomeing really tight, it almost feels like the back of my throat is tight and my breath feels wheezier too

Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab?
Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab because they have not had a prescription for their inhaler for a period of time? I have received an NHS letter, however, my doctors surgery feels that I am not eligible. Although I am lucky enough for my asthma to be under control at the moment, I am still

Fostair Palpitations
I've never had anything like this happen before with
inhalers
, so I wondered if anyone else have had similar experiences and if they settled down after a period of time?

Options for multiple severe asthma exacerbations
My GP has told me Relvar is the highest they can go on steroidal
inhalers
and anything stronger is very speacialised requiring a specialist. I am on everything the GP can give. I am wondering if asking for long-term antibiotics will help reduce the infections.

Are oral steroids a good substitute for preventer inhalers ?
My doctor says that I should continue to take oral steroids for several years. So far,the side effect I've experienced is weight gain.I presume 40 mg. is a low dose, with lesser chance of significant side effects. Are oral steroids a good substitute for preventer
inhalers
? What do you think ? Thanks.

Tightness on a morning
Hi all hope everyone is doing ok as I know cold weather can be a problem for a lot of people. I currently take clenil 100 2 puffs twice a day, have been for about a month (must remember to order a new one tomorrow!) I am not diagnosed atm so unsure if various symptoms are asthma or something else. Anyway

The most depressing pic!!
I was running this morning and was quite happily plodding along, revelling in the fact that I had not had to use my inhaler for a week now and still managed 3 runs without difficulty, when my watch beeped to tell me “ battery low”. Now this was annoying in itself as I had plugged it in to charge last

I’ve just started Fostair NEXT and it leaves a gritty sweetness in my mouth. Is this normal?
I’ve not used this type of inhaler before and there is no mention of this in any of the info I can find. Could my inhaler be defective?
