Fostair Nexthaler

I am new to all this. I was diagnosed in 2017 with ischemic heart disease and heart failure. I have developed a terrible cough. I get it some of the time. The GP visited me the other day and said he thought I had late onset asthma and gave me Fostair Nexthaler to try and I've to phone him in a couple weeks to let him know if there's an improvement. I've to do two puffs mornings and evenings. I feel it has helped the cough, hardly have it anymore but it seems I come over shaky and trembling after using it is this normal? Will I get used to the inhaler so the shaking etc will stop altogether? I have never used an inhaler before. Thank you for any advice.

Hi! I’m on the regular Fostair and yes I get shaky. It’s the long acting bronchodilator that does it. It’s the same family as adrenaline. I’ve been on it for 3 months now and the shakiness has improved, although I still wait for a couple hours after my dose before I pluck my eyebrows. 😉

Thank you for your reply. It's good to know the shakyness will improve. Good you've still have eyebrows! 👍😀

Yes it should get bearable.

Oh I still have eyebrows - I was more worried about losing my eyes! 😄

That's great it will get less. I don't want the feeling of shaking at all. Funny you should mention eyes I'm going to hospital tomorrow for an assessment on cataracts in both eyes.
