does is seem my son has asthma ?
hi I was told to trial my son on a blue inhaler as coughs all year. But I am not really getting much info on if he has asthma etc as it’s been 18 days and not getting much guidance with it all. He is 8 and 132cm tall … I’m not fully understanding what the graph is telling me and how bad it is etc

Ventolin running out too quickly
My son (14) was prescribed a ventolin inhaler a few months ago because he was getting asthma symptoms during hard exercise. 1-2 puffs works brilliantly when the inhaler is new but is stops being effective after a few weeks when it is still half-full (checked by weighing). We've tried very thorough

Is it really asthma...?
I never have wheeziness or breathlessness;
inhalers
do absolutely nothing at all to help. It doesn't seem allergy-related as it happens wherever I am.

Asthma flare up due to anxiety
Because of everything that I am dealing with and no real outlet (yet) my asthma is not being triggered. I had the worst asthma flare up I couldn’t catch my breath at all yesterday not even a nebulizer treatment and 4 inhaler would work. Had to go to the UC to get put on a steroid to get my breathing

Chest infection from spraying Flea Spray (or was it just bad luck, flu season or allergy?)
Has anyone sprayed anything similar like flea spray (Indorex) and may not have ventilated the house very well, leading to breathing issues? I developed a chest infection soon after spraying the house with flea spray but my partner and cat had no issues. I thought maybe it was the change in the weather

Asthma/ILO (also known as Vocal Chord Dysfunction) and Post Covid Breathing
The
inhalers
and the nebulisers worked, so that must be asthma? I am scared to go back to work or to go out, in case I can't tell the difference between the two and end up having a bad asthma attack because I think it is the ILO when really it is the asthma.

Help on side effects
I have been taking
inhalers
ever since. In my younger days I was taken off the birth pill due to raised blood pressure, since which time my blood pressure has been treated with varied drugs on and off.

Hello again, quick question re pulmonary hyperinflation…..
I was sent to A&E with pains in chest/breathlessness/low Oximeter reading on evenings, it feels like pleurisy (I’m also in the middle/end of a Bronch flare) Hospital did an X-ray and it showed pulmonary hyperinflation, but they didn’t give me anything to help. So obviously, I still can’t breath

Smoke and smokers
Hi all -- Assuming your asthma is well controlled (via Xolair or your inhaler of choice), do you still get symptoms if exposed to smoke (e.g. a nearby fire), or from being near smokers? I have a respirator mask with me at all times, but it still takes a few breaths to realize there is an issue and

high dose ventolin
I assumed this was what the drs had told us to do and I'd just kept doing it but i had a search and most people do not seem to use their rescue
inhalers
like that at all! Theytake one puff and they are fine. There's no extended breathing in and out.

Allergy to steroids?
I've had
inhalers
since then (25 years). Recently I've been having problems with the steroid inhaler - didn't really use it much over the years because it was horrible but over the last 5 years I've been using it more due to allergies to various things and the covid lock down.

struggling to cope with COPD
I posted some time ago but feel I need further advice and this forum seems to be the best place to receive it. As yet due to COVID I have yet to have a spirometry test. The doctor just tells me he thinks I have mild COPD and I have a ventolin inhaler to use when I am wheezy. My peak flow is usually

Duoresp Spiromax Vs Symbicort Turbuhaler
I have been on Symbicort Turbuhaler for a few years and it has been fine. When I last went to get my script filled, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to try the Duoresp Spiromax - said it was exactly the same as Symbicort, but a better delivery method/easier to use inhaler. I used it for 2 nights. Both
