Rheumatologists
I've had RA for 15 years and on a rather high dose of
Infliximab
(Remicade). Trying to find a good Rheumatologist, doesn't have to be in my area. Can also go private though I don't think this will make any difference as far as the drug is concerned. Any advice/suggestions will be helpful. Thanks

Infliximab has failed, onward to Rituximab!
Bye bye
Infliximab
. I saw the Rheumy nurse a couple of days ago after finally overriding my severe phone phobia and calling the rheumy helpline.

Should I just accept things will keep getting worse?
I was diagnosed three and a half years ago, in that time I have been prescribed at different times MTX, hydroxychloroquine, Leflunomide, Prednisolone, Steroid injections, Humira and
Infliximab
. Also in that time I have deteriorated steadily whatever was given to me.

Has anyone else developed severe anaemia from RA?
I had a special blood test yesterday after my
Infliximab
infusion (which has left me with a massive pool of blood under my skin so gory I can't look at it).

Enbrel arrives Monday
My expectations are reasonable, it took a while for
infliximab
to work so I don't know what to expect. But I really hope to get some mobility back, so I can be a bit more autonomous. I'll let you know how I get on, but thanks everyone who have supported me and empathised.

Wondering if any of you have had problems with warts on hands & sole of feet. I think it may be because of Azathioprine & Infliximab.
What did you do to help the pain. A wart on her thumb ended up badly infected 2 weeks ago & we ended up in emergency. The infection drained but Jaida had flared in just 2 hours. After two courses of a strong apparently adult dose of antibiotics she now has 2 warts (growing inwards) on the ball of her

Drugs refused funding...
They're also not sure they'll be able to get
infliximab
either and as rituximab isn't licensed for large vessel Vasculitis that might prove difficult too! They said they are pretty persistent and will appeal etc. Has anyone got any experience of the consultant's having to fight for these drugs?

Anyone think having a flu jab just days after Infliximab (or any biologic) is not a good idea?
I had my
Infliximab
last Thursday and I'm due for a flu jab on Monday. My rheumy nurse told me it was fine but I'm worried about side effects, it feel too soon. I don't want to catch flu and die though. Maybe I'm just being wimpy. Cheers XXX

Just had the most wretchedly dreadful day at the hospital, I'm mortified.
I went for my
Infliximab
infusion today, managed to get there on the bus and apart from joint pain I didn't feel ill.
