My personal option is radiation such as
IMRT
or Cyberknife, however I have not made any appointments with any Doctors yet for a targeted biopsy to get Gleason score, I am grateful to have found lot's of good Youtube videos and articles.

Treatment Update IMRT with ADT 18 months later
Follow up 18 months later. I am due for another ADT injection in December. Spoke to the Urologist and he feels 18months is enough keeping with the European standard while the Oncologist would like me to stay the course and do the full 2 years. I am in favor of 18 months also, that would be nice. Still

What is Your Opinion on Docetaxel Added to Doublet Therapy for Early Oligorecurrent Metaststic M1a Prostate Cancer?
He went on doublet with Lupron/Abi/Pred and we made the personal decision to pursue extended pelvic
IMRT
with boost to avid nodes.

Unexpected Dive in PSA
Started taking Orgovyx on 9/11 and began
IMRT
(37 fractions, 70-78gy to prostate, SIB boost to 85-90gy) on 9/28. Had my PSA checked again on 10/10 and it is now 2.07 (!). No complaints, but I wasn't quite prepared for the sharp dive in PSA. Any ideas why this is the case?

Just completed 28 rounds of
IMRT
and have been on Lupron, Xtandi and Zometa for the last two months. PSA at diagnosis was 26 and first blood work after Lupron and Xtandi PSA was down to 3.6. Testosterone was down to 4. Second blood test due in two weeks.

1st post-IMRT PSA = 2.1
I completed
IMRT
on 5/22/23. My last recorded PSA from 1/23 was 4.31. My 1st PSA draw on 8/22/23 came back 2.12. I've read and have been told that PSA doesn't go down immediately with radiation, unlike surgery, and can take up to 2 years to hit its nadir.

Some hopeful test news:🙏🏻
He’s been on generic Zytiga and prednisone and Lupron and finished six weeks of
IMRT
. Three months after the
IMRT
his PSA dropped to .07 and now it’s .01. We all live from test to test and I just hope and pray the good news keeps coming. He’s only 50 years old and he’ll be 51 in August.

Imaging Guidelines - Salvage IMRT Planning
I'm OK with the extent of the treatment proposed, which is 5 weeks of
IMRT
(VMAT) to the prostatic fossa and pelvic LNs. However, I'm not confident with the accuracy of radiation delivery to the target area.

Why ADT after Ray treatment?
So for all of us who decide to take the ADT path for a few months to stabilize our PCa and then hit it with the big guns such as a month (or more) of
IMRT
and in my case a follow-up of HDR Brachy Boost therapy, Why do we need to follow up with more of the dreaded ADT?

New bone met
I saw there is SBRT and
IMRT
. Are these appropriate options? Please let me know if anyone has done a radiation treatment for an isolated bone spot. --Trish

My son’s Testosterone results:
He also finished up six weeks of
IMRT
middle of March 2022. Two months after the surgery his PSA was 22. The PC had spread to some of the pelvic lymph nodes but PSMA Pet Scan showed no further Mets, but the PC is Tertiary 5 so high risk. Thank you everybody for your help and input.

SBRT for whole pelvis radiation therapy?
I have seen 2 different radiation oncologists (ROs) in the Seattle area, and both have told me that the only option for pelvic radiation is
IMRT
, not SBRT.

Radiation and diarrhea/ GI issues/ please help
I believe it was standard radiation EBRT or
IMRT
not sure which. It was fine at first, no side effects. By week 4 the side effects started - diarrhea, constipation, abdominal discomfort, gas. He is so uncomfortable, he can’t leave the house and is not himself at all.
