Radiation a second time? Recurrent PC
I had
IMRT
done 17 years ago, my question is anyone familiar with doing a targeted course of radiation a second time? I will be doing Provenge after the first of the year then researching with an RO if in my case it is possible. I have been on Lupron for years and Darolitamide for three years.

New standard on IMRT number of sessions?
My younger brother is currently undergoing
IMRT
sessions at 2Gy per session. Can anyone here show a clinical study report that shows the efficacy of less sessions? He was told that the new
IMRT
machine they are using only needed 28 sessions.

Mr. Spouse 21 is on rewind: Stable again!
Lupron, 9 weeks
IMRT
, later Zytiga (failed); 2019: 10 Doxetaxel and indeterminate length of Xgeva; Lupron life sentence. No supplements after anti-neuropathy supplements did nothing awhile back. Gets Vitamin D from sunshine, not out of a bottle.

Father’s MO now recommending adding Zytiga
Has had
IMRT
concurrent with 3 years of lupron. Latest PSA 0.03, <0.02 6 months prior. Original plan from MO was to do Lupron for 3 years which would end 2/23.

Proctitis from Radiation
I had 27 sessions of
IMRT
in 2019 for prostate cancer. Even though I had the SpaceOAR procedure, I believe I have some rectal damage. Every now and then when I wipe after a bowel movement, there will be a bit of raw blood.

UPDATE AFTER IMRT
I think the hardest part of the
IMRT
was bladder management. I had to have at least 50% of my bladder full prior to each
IMRT
session and the session lasted about 29 minutes. I tell you what, I couldn't get to the bathroom quick enough to pee before I wet myself.

Sacrum tumor biopsy
MO is willing to proceed with
IMRT
w/o biopsy for urgency, then start Lynparza 30 days later. 2nd opinion suggests biopsy then
IMRT
. Biopsy will not make a difference in treatment with the RO, but says it could possibly make a difference with other treatment?

Docetaxel or not?
Decided on
IMRT
, did 28 treatments at MD Anderson. Took a second Lupron shot December 2022. My PSA is less than .02 and my testosterone is 0. My father and my brother have both had prostate cancer as well. I think the radiation was successful. I am steady at PSA of .02 and testosterone at 0.

First ever PSMA scan shows two small bone lesions
I recently posted about my father who had just completed
IMRT
and three years of Lupron (no mets seen on bone/CT scans). At the time his MO was suggesting adding Zytiga per studies showing its effectiveness with ADT at diagnosis for localized high grade cancer (he is Gleason 9).

Undetectable PSA
I'm also on Zytiga and finished 44
IMRT
5 weeks ago. The cancer center is attached to a large hospital and they test the blood work in house. MO says everything looked great and that my PSA is now undetectable. The lab report says <0.0 ng/ml. PSA was performed using Roche Immunoassay method.

New biopsy: now G4+3
I am eager for opinions (Tall Allen especially) about optimal radiation approach (
IMRT
/SBRT/Brachy LDR or HDR, etc.) and whether ADT will be needed.

Anyone had High Dose Brachytherapy?
Husband has been offered this as an option (HD brachy followed by EBRT/
IMRT
) yet we’ve never met anyone who has done this and we’re trying to find out if it’s uncommon and if so why?

Need help/input on Adjuvant vs salvage radiation after prostatectomy & extended lymph node dissection. Also studies/input on # fractions?
History: Husbands care team planned for a “multi-modality” treatment plan (ADT+Zytiga, then prostatectomy with ePLND, followed by adjuvant
IMRT
), for his Gleason 10, locally advanced PC.

Anyone on Lymparza with positive results?
Either 3D or
IMRT
to start soon x 10 days for 3D, (not sure time for
IMRT
). RO says mets there on scans of 2/22 but small, now larger. We didn't know. MO wants to start Olaparib (Lymparza) 30 days after finishing radiation, but to stay on Nubequa with it.

Hoping for the best
Surgery failed because the prostate was to closely adhered to the rectum, so I underwent 45 sessions of
IMRT
. I am now on Abiraterone and prednisone for two years.

Lookin for next phase of my PC fight
Surgery in 2009,
IMRT
completed in 08/2021 when PSA was at 0.12. I had a negative PSMA pet scan when my PSA was 0.3. My latest PSA result on 11/4/20222 was 0.42 up from 0.3 6 months ago. Because of my age, my Oncologist wants to wait as long as possible before starting me on ADT.
