Is There “SBRT” for Lymph Nodes
I recall that SBRT could have brought my 30 days of
IMRT
radiation treatments to my prostate down to 5 or so treatments. Is there an equivalent radiation that can reduce those 28 days for lymph nodes? Thanks

By way of introduction...
8/2016: PSA 2.6, 90% involvement and escaped capsule (Gleason 4+3), RP at Emory/Atlanta, 2 of 9 removed lymph nodes hot; 7/2018: PSA rise to 0.04, Casodex + 6 mo Lupon shot,
IMRT
(35 treatments); 5/2020 PSA <0.01, intense back pain took me to the ER, CT/PET scans showed on L1 spinal lesion deemed PC

Hello!
Second guy: "tried and true", LDR and
IMRT
. I won't say one is better than the other, simply different. Leaning toward cutting edge, HDR or SBRT. Going to consult with my urologist and than follow up with chosen RO.

After Radical Prostatectomy PSA and Radition with/without Hormone Therapy
Some RO says
IMRT
is enough and some others says that
IMRT
+ Hormone Therapy is much better for him.

New Here and Glad I’ve found this Group – Anyone done Proton Therapy?
I looked into EBRT (external Beam radiation therapy), 3D-CRT,
IMRT
(intensity modulated Radiation), SBRT CyberKnife, (which a few of you guys here had positive things to say about this), seeding with Brachytherapy, both LDR and HDR, Ultrasound HIFU, MRI Laser Ablation, Cryotherapy, and finally Proton

what if chemo only brings down psa to 5.8 what is next
My husband was diagnosed in 2011, gleason 8, psa 22, many years of treatment,
IMRT
, zytiga, Lupron/Avodart. Treated with Dr. Snuffy Myers until his retirement. Psa has never been to 0. All scans stable, cancer in lymph nodes, no bone involvement.

14 year journey
I did the dual radiation thing with the seeds and the external beam (
IMRT
). Then after 5 years I started Lupron intermittently. 1 yr on 1 yr off. Next I did the immunotherapy treatment Provenge. Then I went on zytiga and xgeva. Next was the RA223 treatment.

Catheter issues
I have a complicated history but summary is: Brachy,
IMRT
ADT gleason 0 PSAS low for a few years, now is up to about 75 with about 3 month doubling time. Oncologist is letting me wait to get on ADT agsin. The current problem is that I have very unpredictable ability to urinate.

Brachytherapy, IMRT, Nanoknife or Active Surveillance
Professor Stricker stated that due to 80% volume in two core samples and 5% in one other I should consider Low dose Brachytherapy,
IMRT
or Nanoknife. I’m Gleason 6. MRI PIRADS 4. Now rather then feeling happy with my decision of Active Surveillance I’m feeling a little concerned. Last PSA 5.4.

Interesting report on the efficacy of IMRT on prostate cancer
An 8-year study comparing the results of various cancer treatments concluded that
IMRT
is equal to or in some cases superior to other treatments such as brachytherapy and surgery.

Stricture at Bulbar after HDRBT and IMRT - Seeking Advice
A G9, had both HDRBT and
IMRT
in 2017. Also, ADT (Eligard and Zytiga) ended on January 2019. I am in SoCal. March of 2019 had a complete blockage and it was a stricture at Bulbar, Uro did a Direct Visual Internal Urethrotomy and it has been good for about 15 months now.

PORTOS
I’m beginning week 3 of
IMRT
after a small uptick in my PSA from .01 to .03. Things are going well but in my head I am bugged by the fact that I had a low PORTOS score associated with my DECIPHER GRID.

Bone Mets or Arthritis?
Husband recently completed one week of Cyberknife and five weeks of
IMRT
to the prostate area, followed by one week of Cyberknife to the T7 met. The RO is not particularly concerned about the iliac bone (which he is not sure is cancerous) or the rib met, but he would like to Cyberknife L4.

Decision Matrix Conundrum
So I completed
IMRT
to my left hemi-pelvis with boost to 2 nodes there that lit up on Ga-PSMA scan last October. Used adjuvant ADT with degarelix plus estradiol patches. Approximately 5-6 months until T levels recovered.

Successful treatments after RP, IMRT, and Taxotere?
Anyone aware of examples of long term remissions (years not months) in advanced cases after RP,
IMRT
, AND Taxotere treatments (that is an "and" not an "or")?

A Pain in the Butt
I complained about it to my medical oncologist and he had a radiation oncologist zap my sacrum with 800gys of
IMRT
. About two weeks later the pain was gone! Now, many years later, I'm feeling a similar pain in my left butt cheek. Would I be correct in assuming they can radiate my sacrum again?

Rectal problems following HDR and IMRT
Finished HDR and
IMRT
a couple months ago. Since then have had difficulty with bowel movements. GI doc not much help. Colonoscopy a risk due to my age 80. Recently read about a radiation side effect called proctitis which seems to present with the symptoms I’m having.
