Does that sound normal to still have increased blood flow or activity six weeks after IMRT is finished? Or could it mean the IMRT was not successful? Coincidentally I had an infusion of Pluvicto the day after my last IMRT session.

If the result of SBRT test indicates high risk, can I opt for IMRT instead?"

For those who have yet to be treated, are considering RT (vs surgery), and are getting treatment at a center with both IMRT and Proton Beam capabilities.

I initiated my 20 dose regimen of IMRT at Duke today on my Gleason 10, stage 4 prostate cancer (Mets in bladder neck and perineal area/seminal vesicles and some iliac lymph nodes). Been on Xtandi and Orgovyx for 5 months which has shrunk all tumors and the radiation is to kill what’s left.

So given I have only 3 bone mets per CTPETPSMA , my next step should be imrt to those Mets, correct?

PSA trends and question below: 09/2021, before RP: 45 10/2021, after RP: 4. 12/21, after one month of ADT + abi: 0.04 01/22, just before IMRT began: 0.01. 04/22, after IMRT completion: <0.01. 04/202 — 02/2024: uninterrupted, no variation, same lab, same equipment, monthly tests: <0.01.

This is my 3rd check since IMRT was completed in May 2023. Prior to IMRT, I was at 4.31. The next 3 results were 2.12; 1.12 and today's 1.15. So I know its gone up 0.03 this time. I'm aware there are bumps along the way as explained by my medical team and it takes awhile to reach the nadir.

Started orgovyx 1 month ago and imrt last week.

2) I read that SBRT can be used for whole pelvic radiation therapy (WPRT), but it is not as established as IMRT as a standard of care. Should I switch to 25 sessions of IMRT? 3) Do you think treating the whole pelvis would be excessive, considering I'm already on ADT?

IMRT is the gold standards when SBRT is newer and has no track record yet and it is hard to decided.

Is this because he had IMRT to his pelvic area, previously, shortly after his prostatectomy? His psa is 11.79 at the moment. Many thanks.

I had 28 rounds of IMRT in June / July . I’m sure it’s part insurance to do with it ?

My 25 sessions of IMRT for the whole pelvic are set to begin next Wednesday, but I just received notification that my insurance has approved proton therapy. If the commute and time commitment are similar for both treatments, which one should I choose?

my PSA started at 300 then went to <.1 at Kaiser after 6 months of lupron zytiga and imrt . Since, it has remained <.1 at Kaiser and I have been getting concurrent ultra-sensitive tests at LabCorp.

IMRT for prostate bed is pencilled in for January 2025. There is also HDBT scheduled, which I will accept but I will try to get this done before IMRT and get tested.

I have completed one session of brachytherapy in Sept and am currently undergoing 25 sessions of whole-pelvis IMRT administered by MSK (details in my bio). Despite a low Decipher score, my cancer has adverse features, including cribriform and gross EPE.

A question I would like some input on is should I look into proton therapy over IMRT. I would need to travel to Fred hutch or Salt Lake City as I live in Reno Nv. Just want some of the best treatment with less side affects. Would really appreciate your thoughts

Diagnosed June 2023, Started Lupron July, Zytiga and prednisone August, IMRT 28x 70gy, including distant oligometastatic retroperitoneal lymph nodes November. Everything going fine only minor side effects and I feel good. Then, May 1st 2024 I have sudden onset of peripheral neuropathy.

I was asking him why not more days of IMRT to doubly ensure that all/any cancer cells are killed. The following study seems to indicate that high dosage is better with ADT.
