Please can I ask if the District nurse can take blood tests? My husband was in hospital last Saturday with sodium levels at 125. He had a drop then sent home. Our gp has requested repeat bloods to monitor his sodium. I took him to the blood clinic and was turned away because it was full, even though they

leflunomide, infliximab and hair loss
My gp has prescribed
Imodium
to try to stem the weight loss but I really don’t know what to do about the hair loss. I would welcome any experience/ideas to control both side effects.

Why do we have mutations?
Why do we all have these bone marrow mutations? It cannot all be due to family DNA bad luck. My haemo told me that he is certain that my mutation is due to exposure to Benzene in petroleum products. In effect I have been poisoned by products which were supposed to be safe. Benzene compounds are still

Low sodium
What a day.Took hubby for blood tests this morning. Get a call at 4.30 from 111. Sodium too low at 125 to go straight to A&E. In A&E 6 hours. More bloods then sodium IV then sent home. His liver and kidneys apparently are struggling be I referred back to our gp. No explanation why his sodium was so

Hello everyone, I'm hoping you can all offer some advise etc...My 8 year old boy has been suffering with constipation for several years and I would give him lactulose to help him when he was backed up and he would pass a stool once a week. Thyroid Panel Questions
Hi! I have been perusing the posts here, you seem to be a knowledgable group, I am hoping you might be able to help shed some light on what my hormones and endocrine system is UP to! I don't want to overwhelm with too much history, so I will try and cut to the chase. For a number of years I took a T3

Thyroid or Pituitary Problem?
Sorry in advance for the long essay! Desperatly hoping for some advice. I am a 30-year-old female suffering fatigue, brain fog & migraine with visual disturbances since July 2020, therefore I stopped the COCP after a 10-year use (which was prescribed for the management of menorrhagia). Since stopping

Travelling in pads - have you done it?
I avoid
Imodium
and similar as they give me side effects that are worse than an accident. So I wear Tena and just wet myself if I need to. The absorb a lot and I am now used to doing it.

Dietary restrictions and the workplace...
Hi all,I am wondering what your experiences with working and your diet? My department got rewarded with a pizza party. I requested a salad to accommodate low sodium diet. I was told no special treatment. Won't be showing up to that lunch despite being the team lead. Thoughts? Am I being the unreasonable
