BIOMARKER TESTING
My wife has extensive small cell lung cancer (SCLC-E) and has undergone chemotherapy,
immunotherapy
and radiotherapy. Her lung tumor is currently stable and I want to get options if her current
immunotherapy
(atezolizumab every three weeks) becomes ineffective.

CA125 plus MRI = trouble (despite contrary advice)
Immunotherapy
? Trials? Etc etc (I’m BRAC -ve). Just wondering what I could ask for. Also, what’s the best place to go for a 2nd opinion? I’m in North Essex.

Starting therapy 5 yrs post CAR-T with another immunotherapy trial, now epcoritamab
Making my exercise "rounds" at the hospital
It was a nice long run and far exceeded the average duration of response to CAR-T in CLL, but as we all have grown to accept, essentially all therapies in CLL are palliative. If you live long enough, most but not all of us will eventually relapse.

Trying To Hold Onto Hope
In my very brief research, it doesn't seem like
immunotherapy
is all that successful. How long will it take for the cancer to outsmart this? I also worry that he is going to deteriorate quickly like he did last time, and that we don't have much time left.

Triple Negative Question
However, if an
immunotherapy
cure ever comes around that can fix the JAK2 mutation… would that still be able to fix the marrow of people who have no mutation?

I was treated with 4 rounds of atezolizumab/carboplatin/etoposide (chemotherapy and
immunotherapy
). A pet/CT scan shows it was effective, and I fared better than I expected going in, but definitely have fatigue and weakness.

Relative risk for secondary bone marrow cancer within 5 years after initial CLL chemoimmunotherapy treatment (typically BR or FCR)
The Abstract
Interpretation:
[i]Although tMDS/AML risks are significantly elevated after initial chemo/
immunotherapy
for most LNs, patients treated more recently have lower tMDS/AML risks, except after CLL/SLL.

Things I Like About ADT
Debilitating radiation, chemo treatments, and an
immunotherapy
clinical trial barely slowed the cancer down for her, and she was taken from us far too soon. In my case though, after starting ADT on November 25th with a PSA of 104, by January 14th my PSA was a mere 1.4.

Combined Metabolic and cytotoxic approach for long term remission
So we must understand the metabolic pathways using which the cancer cells builds this layer and disrupt that using nutritional and target therapy, and once the layers is damaged enough strike with
immunotherapy
to kill the cell.

Characteristics of gut microbiota in patients with polycythemia vera and the impact of different treatments

The way
immunotherapy
drugs kill cancer cells is by recruiting our immune system to do the killing. An example of an
immunotherapy
drug is rituximab, the "R" drug in FCR (the F drug in the combo is fludarabine, the C drug is cyclophosphamide).
