Advice on the clinics
My partner has very low sperm count hence we need to do
ICSI
treatment. The local clinic I found in the West Midlands had relatively low success rate (still don’t know why I chose them) but it was my first experience and didn’t know better.

First Round - ICSI - No Blastocysts day 6 :(
First round of
ICSI
- collected 3 eggs (i'm pretty sure some were too small to justify going in as three are the minimum requirement) And I don't think my medication was correct TBH - as I was on hold to start as a last min colposcopy had to be done as my smear test results came back low grade Anyway

Another baby.
Hi all, I have my son who is 3 by
ICSI
treatment but I’d love another baby, only thing is we haven’t got £10,000 to spend! What do I do?! Also trying so hard to work out if it’s the best for us, what if it doesn’t work?

second time lucky ?
As I approach my second nhs
icsi
cycle I’m anxious, nervous and hopeful that I will get a better result this time. We collected three eggs which were quite small, one died on day two and the other two failed to cleave so didn’t make it past day four stage. It was put down to egg quality.

First IVF/ICSI, Long Protocol, 22mm endometrium thickness
This is my first cycle ever. I was told at my last scan my endometrial lining is too thick 22mm, and I might have to freeze embryo after retrieval, anyone has experienced this before?

2nd FET protocol for 4th embryo transfer
For our next fresh round our consultant suggested
ICSI
, not due to a sperm issue but due to a low rate of blastocysts at the day 5 stage on round one.

Hi All It’s my first
ICSI
cycle and my first time using any kinda of forum so I’m looking for a little advice please? We had 2 embryos transferred on the 6/11, 1 was an early blastocyst (too early to grade) and the other a compacting modular.

Pain residing after egg collection
Hi all, I had my first ever egg collection on Monday, they got 9 eggs, 7 of which have fertilised via
ICSI
. Got our fingers crossed that we should have some 5 day blastocysts for transfer this Saturday 🤞I wanted to check others experiences of recovery post egg collection.

*sensitive* test result - please help!
We are 11dp5dt (fresh,
ICSI
) and today is OTD. We have never had a positive test before ever and we have the faintest of lines! Really want to be hopeful but also terrified it’s a chemical. Is it normal for the line to be so faint to begin with? Or should we expect a loss?

oocyte activation
We had our final planning consultation today for round 3, and we’ve decided to go ahead with oocyte activation following total fertilisation failure on our last
icsi
round. Has anyone got any success stories?

Fresh versus Frozen ET & implantation issues
My partner and I are planning to start our 4th
ICSI
round in the next month or two. For context, I'm 41 in November, no fertility medical issues myself apart from age now and BMI of 31. It's a male factor infertility due to poor morphology, motility and number.

When to test and hope needed
It's our 4th round of
ICSI
and I'm nearly 41 so I think we'd probably only do one more round before moving on to adoption.

Things that made a difference...
IVF not
ICSI
(unless male factor). I think
ICSI
is overused. I did one round of
ICSI
and my fertilisation rate tanked from 85% to 30%. My doctor advocates for ordinary IVF where possible. 8. One last thing- I took expensive NAD supplements - Tru Niagen - one round.

Deciding on my next IVF protocol - advice
My first IVF
ICSI
cycle recently failed because my two only embryos didnt make it to the blastocyst stage. They were fine until about day 4 and then they arrested. I will be 42 in about 3 months and have AMH levels about 7.
