No fertilization on 1st day turned to one normal embryo by day 3 lab report, any experience? Is this common?
We did
ICSI
4 days ago and on day first lab reported 2 out of 3 mature eggs fertilized but now yesterday on day 3 they called me and said that you have 3 embryos developing normal!

Real chances at 44?
I had one fresh cycle in autumn which failed. 16 eggs collected with
icsi
, we had 4 blastocysts - 2 good / 2 not so good. Fresh and frozen cycles both failed (another frozen cycle back in Feb was a mmc). I’m currently in a fresh cycle.

Artificial Oocyte Activation.
As far as my research goes its basically a 'Calcium Bath' that my egg is dipped in once injected using
ICSI
. This method can assist whether it is my egg, or hubby's sperm that is struggling to activate. I really didn't want to use
ICSI
again, but willing to try anything! X

Anyone had chromosome karyotype testing and was it useful?
Because of our ‘shocking’ results (dr doesn’t help with her choice of words) - ie 5 rounds of IVF/
ICSI
where we’ve had huge drop offs in embryo development, our dr has advised chromosome karyotype testing. She can’t explain our results otherwise.

When is the best time to have progesterone level checked for a transfer?
For my two
ICSI
long protocol fresh transfers I’ve bled before my OTD. Doctor said it’s different with a natural FET as I produce my own progesterone so he doesn’t want to up from 1x lubion and 2x pessaries per day.

Bilateral varicocele surgery - Does it improve IVF ICSI results?
Hi, we have had 2 failed cycles of IVF +
ICSI
and seems like the quality of our embryos need to be improved.

“Package” cost of ivf - unfair for people who are returning patients!
I had my most recent two cycles with the same clinic who do an ivf package cost or an
ICSI
package cost which includes all bloods and initial screenings etc.

WTF consultation tomorrow after 3 failed transfers, any suggestions on what to ask or suggest for next steps?
I previously had two fresh transfers after two back to back
ICSI
egg collection cycles. Grade was a 5BC on one of them. Then a double transfer of a 5AA and a 5BA on the other with glue.

Motility and Vitamins
Motility has come back at 21% progressive 9% non progressive 70% immotile The clinic are suggesting ivf and not
icsi
as everything else looks ok with 5% morphology. What vitamins can I put him on to help the motility? Thanks in advance xx

Familiar anxiety - on cusp of 3rd cycle
I'm switching to
ICSI
this round, even though our fertilisation rates are normal, we're looking for any option to up the odds that my smaller number of eggs will produce embryos. Back to the short protocol with the addition of Letrozole from Day 2 (similar to Clomid as I understand).

So so sad
Our first round of
ICSI
failed today, after 3 years of trying naturally. I am so so sad, even knowing the odds were less than 50% I just thought it would work for us and we would finally have our Christmas baby.

Appointment with IVF Nurses - ICSI- Should I carry on working in the two week wait?
Hi all, me and my husband have been trying for a baby for 4 years. Next week on the 5th of March is our appointment with the IVF nurses where we will start our injections. Now I work as secondary school teacher and by then (embryo transfer) schools will most probably be open, I have to go up and down

COMPLETE failure to fertilise with ICSI
Has anybody had any experience with a complete failure to fertilise with
ICSI
? We had IVF last cycle which produced 3 fertilised eggs. Sadly none of those made it to blastocyst, although we did have 1 transferred (BFN) as it wasn't far behind, so we opted to try with
ICSI
this time.

Had a bit of a break
Will start my third round next cycle and doing
ICSI
this time...and I'm also considering egg donation if things go the same as the first two rounds. Trying to stay positive but each day 1 of my cycle still gets to me (like today!)

Endo Scratch tomorrow, what’s it like?
But have had two failed fresh transfers (3 embryos) over 2
icsi
cycles now so they suggested a endometrial scratch before the next transfer in January. This will be my first frozen transfer and my last embryo in storage. What’s the endo scratch like? Does it hurt?

Endometrial shrinkage on day 14
Hello ladies... here i am with 5 failed
ICSI
cycles.. depressed and stressed. However made up my mind for my next cycle since I still have frozen embryos. But this time on day 14 of my cycle was a strange observation.

When will we ever be able to get abroad for IVF round 3? Anyone else feeling stuck
We’ve been TTC for 5 and a half years, done 2 rounds of
ICSI
, the last resulting in a miscarriage in March this year. Nothing frozen from either round to transfer. I work in the NHS and went back to work the week after the miscarriage and have barely stopped since. This year has been exhausting.
