Hey I had my first IVF but it wasn’t successful as my ovaries produce to many eggs and it’s overstimulated with the medication I had and eggs didn’t fertilize . I am 31. Now doctor advice is do go for ICSI. Also how many treatments should be funded by NHS.

Hi Rai! I just wanted to say I am sorry your eggs did not fertilise 😔 Hopefully your clinic can try help you find out why and try something a bit different for you.

NHS funded IVF cycles vary from CCG to CCG, so you will need to look up in your area what the recommendation is. Some CCG’s have 3 NHS funded cycles, some have one and some CCG’s don’t even offer NHS funded cycles.

Rest up and look after yourself - wishing you all the best 🥰

ICSI is usually used when there is male factor or the sample wasn’t as good on the day. It may have been luck your eggs didn’t fertilise or maybe a bad sample, I don’t think the overstimulation would cause fertilisation issues? Xx

So sorry to hear this. Did your hubby produce sperm sample at home or at the clinic because this can cause it when its not kept at the right temperature. And did he abstain from sex for atleast 2 to 3 days?
