Interesting Day having ICD fitted
As scheduled I went to Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital on Monday 19th August to have my
ICD
implantation. Arrived at 7.50 and booked in. Had blood pressure taken, ECG, height weight etc and had a cannula put into right arm. Then given the fetching blue trousers and top to wear.

Symptoms of Endo
When considering the symptoms of endo the first thing that springs to mind is that they are seemingly infinitely diverse such that no one woman experiences the same as another, and many peculiar symptoms that are clearly shared by members on groups such as this might not even be documented anywhere in

Should I go to the GP?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis on 10/10/19 via laparoscopy, and had an excision. I also had the Kyleena coil fitted whilst I was under general anaesthetic. Recovery was fine, the first week was very painful, but by the second it had calmed down and I was just tired. It’s now been just over 4 weeks

Hello, has anyone been told that their iud (mirena) may have perforated their uterus? How was it rectified? I have an ultrasound booked for Monday to check as my GP (UK based) thinks this might be the case as I had it fitted over 3 weeks ago and I'm still in alot of pain (45-60mg codeine with paracetamol

OCD compulsions
Does anyone else suffer from OCD compulsions? I constantly check the stove jets to make sure they are off and the car doors to make sure they are all locked. It’s starting to become more intense and it forces me to take time from my morning routine just to do it. Any one have any tips that have helped

When do you get your Bisoprolol side effects?
FYI, but hopefully not to bore you: In Aug (due to unsustained VT) I was fitted with a combined Pacemaker/
ICD
and started taking 3.75mg of Bisoprolol, which was later increased to 5mg following my first pacing check. On 3.75mg I got the low energy symptoms every other day for about 90mins.

Lizinna pill any good for Endo?
So my current pill was making me bleed constantly and so we've upped the dosage - lizinna. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this pill? They said to me if this doesn't work then I will have to consider the coil which I DO NOT want because it genuinely stresses me out and I really need method

What’s the best contraception to use for those with PCOS.?
I have been taking the pill for 3/4 months. I have noticed I am feeling more anxious, worried etc over tiny things. I stopped taking the pill years ago and have been lucky to have had two babies. Now I’m back taking contraception but feel like I’m on edge and snappy all the time. What is good for balancing

New ADAA Blog Post: The “Reality” of Real-Life OCD
"In the past few weeks, two people have contacted me seeking help for “real-Ilife OCD.” I had never heard the term before, which is surprising because I am an OCD specialist. I spend roughly 75-80% of my clinical hours working with people who have OCD. I teach a course on OCD to psychiatry residents.

Hormonal coil fitted - still getting abdominal cramps
Hi, I had the hormonal coil fitted 8 weeks ago and still getting abdominal cramps. Is this normal? It's the first time of having a coil and I'm struggling to get into the sexual health clinic to get it checked and my own doctors just say I need to go to the sexual health clinic! Thank you.

Reflections on Patient’s Day, Birmingham, 2019, a very personal overview.
Arrythmia nurse Stephanie Cruikshank put all of our concerns about AF into the shade as she described her patient story of living with a congenital heart condition which means she now has an

. You know sometimes when we say to our clinicians ‘You don’t know how it feels...’.
