Surviving Covid19
There is some research to suggest that
Ibrutinib
protects the lungs from pneumonia. Every cloud etc!! Please remember this will pass, be gentle with yourselves and stay positive.

Dapsone and Diabetes
Thought it was the
ibrutinib
, but found Dapsone kills off red blood cells, so the new red blood cells give a false reading. Gary

The BTK-inhibitor ibrutinib may protect against pulmonary injury in COVID-19 infected patients
"
Ibrutinib
and possibly other BTK-inhibitors may therefore provide protection against lung injury, and even improve pulmonary function in hypoxic patients with COVID-19 as we observed in this series of WM patients on

FDA approval
I just read an article that stated that the FDA approves
Ibrutinib
plus rituximab for CLL on 4/21/2020 for INITIAL treatment. Approval was based on the E1912 trial. Patients with 17p deletions were excluded. The main efficacy outcome measure was progression-free survival.

Water retention
I have been on
Ibrutinib
for 4 months now and more recently (6weeks) on weekly injections of Aranesp because of low red blood count (78). I have also gained 10 pounds in a short period of time. Doctors have changed my diuretic, ruled out blood clots and ruled out heart-related problems.

I'm new here; question about ibrutinib and rash
Unfortunately, I had to start treatment with
Ibrutinib
on March 8 2020, after 3 years of watch and wait. Two weeks after starting the
Ibrutinib
I broke out in a severe itchy, red rash ( pretty much my whole body), so I was on Prednisone for 6 days and stopped the

CLL AND COVID-19
I have been under therapy with
Ibrutinib
since Oct 1, 2019 with all of my numbers moving in the right direction. I wish all us well physically and mentally to endure these most unusual times.

The impact of dose modification and temporary interruption of ibrutinib on outcomes of CLL patients in routine clinical practice
In this regard, patients who held
ibrutinib
for surgical procedures had better EFS and OS compared to those patients who held
ibrutinib
for toxicity. More detail here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cam4.2998 Stay safe Jackie

What is the way out of this !
Hi I am 51 and just started on Venetoclax after a resistance to
Ibrutinib
. I have already had a couple of near misses this year with 10 weeks in Hospital from the 6th Jan with a serious chest infection and pneumonia which coincided with low platelets (4), then a blood clot on the lung developed.

Am I getting better or worse?
I’ve been taking a lower dose of
Ibrutinib
now for two months. How Can I tell the jump in wbc is from the
Ibrutinib
and not my CLL getting progressively worse? Nervous 😬

CLL & Ibrutinib: bleeding, bruising and broken fingernails
59, diagnosed at 53 with unmutated, del17 CLL and started
Ibrutinib
June 2019. Fairly wild ride to date: early on was a lot of edema, particularly in lower legs, ankles and feet. That subsided in time, as promised. Blood tests are almost normal now, as promised.

B-PLL: Ibrutrinib Monotherapy or Obinutuzumab (aka Gazyva) & Venetoclax Combination as first-line treatment for transformed CLL
We have two CLL experts who propose different treatment plans for first-line therapy: 1) Monotherapy
Ibrutinib
or Acalabrutinib 2) Combination therapy Gazyva and Venetoclax We know that treatment 2 is fixed in duration and holds promise for disease clearance for an indeterminate period of time but

Since

Medical update ibrutinib
The Dr told me the treatment if required is immunotherapy and is not nice so he has given me two weeks and an alternative antibiotic to temper bacterial infection also to again stop
ibrutinib
. I'm back after 2 weeks to repeat the tests and take it from there.
