Experiences of having one ovary or full hysterectomy
Im ok with the
hysterectomy
because I have fibroids too which are large and I know my uterus is basically a mess. Anyone had this op before and willing to share how you felt? How long was your recovery? Do you have HRT with one ovary?

Spinal endometriosis? Feeling confused and alone
Everyone assumes I am better and cured now I've had a
hysterectomy
. But id really like to find out if it is endo. Anyone else experienced this or know how I can move forward.

Zoladex & Fainting
I have severe endometriosis & adenomyosis, I am now on a waiting list for a full
Hysterectomy
but that wait is about 1 year yet. I have previously had the prostap injections & used to faint a bit when I had it.

Continuous Utrogestan after hysterectomy?
I had a
hysterectomy
, both ovaries removed, bowel shave and ureter untethered, as well as excision in 2021 under a BSGE specialist.

Total Abdominal (Bikini cut) Hysterectomy next week..yikes!
My mum had a very bad experience having a
hysterectomy
in her 40s thirty years ago, with infection and pain etc and the memory of it looms large in my mind!

Anyone treated Endo successfully using holistic medicine??
Having seen an endo surgeon, he said, from looking at my ultrasound results, it is likely that given I am 40 and dont want any kids, the best bet (pending a laparoscopy to confirm), a
hysterectomy
may be the best option at this point.

Finally operation date…..
Hi I finally have a date for my
hysterectomy
21st November, my emotions are up and down. I will ask at my pre op but anyone have any ideas how long I will have to stay in hospital for ? Is it day surgery ? Am on the morning list so was hoping I would be home by tea time or early evening.

Hormonal Treatments
I am 44, peri menopausal and not looking to go ahead with the
hysterectomy
as i feel it’s far too drastic for my personal circumstances even though I am in quite a bit of pain during period and mid cycle with extreme fatigue too.

good news I think…
(I have 1 half sister and Mum had a full
hysterectomy
very young, so I’ll never have the evidence they want. Having Ashkenazi Jewish great grandparents and a paternal grandmother with BC wasn’t enough to warrant investigating on NHS. Totally ignored the report from Ovarian Cancer Action.

Stage 4 Endo- complex surgery including bowel required- Need Positive stories
Ideally I would be having a
hysterectomy
but am 34 with no children. My consultant has already said there is a risk of damage to my bowel and I am absolutely terrified of this. I would rather remove all of my reproductive organs than any damage to bowel.

Preparing myself for a full hysterectomy, bowel resection and stents in bladder......
Has anyone been through this or similar? I'm desperate for support and I'm terrified about this operation. I have been given a 50% chance of a better quality of life. It's a lot to go through for those stats.....

What now?
In a nut shell he has said I can't have a
hysterectomy
because I'm too young (31, coming up to 32, so I do agree for now I'm too young). That I've had my lap so that's all he can do, and he's referred t Me to a pain clinic to try and deal with the pain.

Returned pain after zoladex fed up and so deflated
My next option is a
hysterectomy
but at 32 I'm torn between having to choose between debilitating pain or absolutely no way of even trying/successfully completing my family 😔 Feeling deflated and so fed up. I find myself so envious of other women who sail through not having this condition.

Free comfort
Ive been struggling with what I was told was asthma for years, then other symptoms, then after a
hysterectomy
it got much worse very quick. I now know for a fact my so called various illnesses were symptoms of estrogen loss.

Adenomyosis Warriors...advice sought from a new adeno club member
The specialist said I need a
hysterectomy
and talked of IVF. I'm 43 no kids. I don't want a
hysterectomy
and am trying a natural approach via diet, stress management etc. Has anyone tried this and what recommendations can you give? I have started some reading about adenomyosis and health tips.

Carboplatin on its own. Stage 1 anyone else?
Im 57 years old, had a full
hysterectomy
a month ago to remove a 13cm ovary mass, turned out to be cancerous within the ovary and some pre cancer cells within the fallopian tube. They said it was stage 1. Don't know anything more than that.

Anxious - Endo and bowel surgery
I’m down for a laparoscopic
hysterectomy
which I’m ok about but it’s all the bowel surgery that I’m concerned with, especially the stoma and if I’d end up having it long term. Is there anyone who was also advised the same and what the outcome ended up being?
