What to do while waiting?
Hi, I have had symptoms of endometriosis for years - my aunty had a full
hysterectomy
at my age so it runs in our family. I have struggled to get a referral until I’ve seen a wonderful doctor after moving.

Abdominal Hysterectomy
However there was still residual tumor seen on CT scan and I have been booked to have abdominal
hysterectomy
on 30th November followed by 2 more chemotherapy, avastin and parp inhibitors. I wanted to ask if anyone had
hysterectomy
and how was the recovery?

Help please …. I am now 7th on list for this laparoscopic surgery. Getting anxious as date is coming after a 5 year wait ….. afraid it might be worse after operation. Has anyone any advice re recovery and what benefits have been. I am a fit 72 year old now. I am expecting it to be a general anaesthetic

Is it best to have the coil fitted or just get
hysterectomy
? Does it stop after menopause? How long is lap waiting list in Norfolk? This might not be possible to answer. What did you find worked while you were waiting? Sorry longer than intended.

Long term IBS sufferer being referred to rapid dignostic clinic
It took me 10 years to persuade them that my periods weren't normal, before they relented and gave me a
hysterectomy
"to shut me up". Turns out I had severe Adenomyosis. Major red faces all round in my GP surgery. So I don't generally bother with the docs.

One set back after another
I want one baby and then I’m having a
hysterectomy
, it’s that bad. I’ve come home today and just cried all afternoon. Why does it have to be so difficult all the time 😭

New to the form
My oncologist recommended a full
hysterectomy
and 6 rounds of chemo, however given that I’m 34 and we had planned on starting a family, she got us into a program for embryo creation and freezing. She said it wouldn’t be a huge risk to take this time and do that for our future.

Lymphedema after mastectomy & sentinel node biopsy
I had a
hysterectomy
procedure yesterday and they told me I can't have IV's, blood draws or blood pressure checks in my right arm because they removed lymph nodes. I had a colonoscopy in October and since then I have had a swollen hand ,numb fingers and tingling in my arm.

Feeling fed up!
She is unsure if I am menopausal as I had a
hysterectomy
and a lot of the symptoms are similar of fibromyalgia. A week or two before I have my injection I am taking sumatriptan for migraines and I have restless legs, burning feet and pins and needles. Is that fibromyalgia or a neurological thing?

As natural as possible...
Hi, having just had a full
hysterectomy
incl ovaries I'm expecting to be thrown into menopause. I'm hoping to use natural remedies for any unpleasant symptoms. Is it worth taking anything now? Does anyone have suggestions for bone health please?

What on Earth's going on?
Here’s some background:- I have had hypo symptoms since 1993 immediately following a
hysterectomy
. By 2009 I was too unwell to live a normal life so consulted GP.

Chest infection…could this be caused by Endo
This time he took me more seriously and suggested I needed a
hysterectomy
and that my womb was “sticking”. He wanted me to have Zoladex injections again. I’d already had a course of this pre operation. I came away not sure what I should do and searched for a specialist Endo consultant.

choosing what kind of operation that best
I went to my appt the other day and I was told I can decide what surgery I would like to have for them to take out what they find, So I can have a
hysterectomy
and the leave in my ovaries so I don't go into the menopause or I can have a laparoscopy so they can cut out what they find.

I had a total
hysterectomy
5 days ago after 20+ years of endo(I’m 45) and 5 previous surgeries, my last one being 8 months ago where they also also diagnosed me with adenomyosis, hence the
hysterectomy
.

Night spasms
I had a Radical
hysterectomy
in August and once again recovered really well. No chemotherapy as Low grade serous does not respond to it but I am on Letrozole to suppress the oestrogen it can “feed” on. I feel very fortunate to have these cancers diagnosed when I had no symptoms for either.

Help with blood results
I've been on that a year since
hysterectomy
so don't think it's that. I have had trouble lowering my blood pressure all year and tried lots of tablets this one seems to be lowering it.

Pain, exercise and weight gain
I have been on zoladex and Tibilone for 2 years waiting for a
hysterectomy
, excision surgery, bladder and bowel resection. My weight has slowly been increasing over the last 3 years. 😰 I was active until about 8 years ago when my endo flared up.
