Smear test problems
I'm a bit worried that it's all moved a bit from the aborted
hysterectomy
. At the moment it feels like one thing after another x

Is the end in sight???
I saw Gynae last week who has advised that she will be doing a full
hysterectomy
(within 6 months) subject to how the Abdominal Surgeons want to prioritise a separate surgery to remove the lump....apparently although they 'suspect' AWE the surgeons may choose to ignore that and treat as suspect and urgent

At my wits end 😢
I literally begged for a
hysterectomy
as I couldn't cope with the bleeding any longer and they kept refusing.

Full hysterectomy and I’m only 26 :(
I’m just popping in here to try and get as much insight and advice from women who had had a
hysterectomy
because of endo, I’m only 26 I’m single and don’t have children (not too sure if I want kids yet) I’ve got stage 3 and I’ve already had Multiple surgeries even by endo specialist (supposedly the best

Waiting for a Hysterectomy
In August 2023 my consultant (who has been very understanding) agreed to put me forward for a
hysterectomy
. They will aim to remove most but leave the ovaries. They should also be able to see what is happening inside my body. Am advised I will be seen within 6 months (by Feb 24?)

Good News
I had a
hysterectomy
, six months of chemo and nearly two years of parp treatment. I have just recieved results of CT scan and no sign of cancer, although I have a incisional hernia from the op. I can certainly cope with the hernia!

How long did you wait for a hysterectomy for Adenomyosis?
I'm desperate to have a
hysterectomy
and am seeing the consultant in 2 months. I'd be interested to know how long people have had to wait. My rough guess is 2 years 😢Thank you 💕

Decapeptyl and pain
Hi,I am currently awaiting total
hysterectomy
with ovarian preservation. Am 48 years old,no children.Am on Decapeptyl 3 month injection to shrink my 9 fibroids. At least a year an half ago I had 9 of them, the size of small oranges 6,5cm. They are everywhere. One sits on my bladder.

High Testosterone Level
I'm 68 well over menopause and full
hysterectomy
11 years ago. GP agreed but I would have had to wait a month for them to do it at the surgery. Think they must get paid for doing them now. So made them print the blood test forms off and got an appointment at our local hospital tomorrow.

Help, shall I take a break or not
I've been waiting for four years for my
hysterectomy
and I still don't have a date. My recent hormone injection appointment was cancelled and I'm wondering whether to take the opportunity to take a break from taking HRT and having monthly injections for a while.

Not sure what to do....
Because at least I knew myself despite the crippling pain, or do I continue down this route on the waiting list for the
hysterectomy
and seal this in as my fate at 35 years old? I have never felt more hopeless about my health. I am such a strong woman, but this is truly breaking me.

Just had hysterectomy due to prolapsed bladder and think it's come back due to severe constipation.
Completely fed up. Does this mean I have to have surgery again? I have also ran out of ndt again for about the fifth time due to it being so expensive and my tsh was really high about 6.5 when I had blood test for my pre op. It was also high the previous time as I had ran out then as well. I hate

Endo back after hysterectomy
I had
hysterectomy
in March 2020 leaving my ovaries in. I've recently had an ultrasound due to pain and bloating that has indicated that my endo is back around my ovaries. Gynaecologist has suggested taking my ovaries since I am now nearly 48. Has anyone else had this experience?

Chronic pain medication review - help!
I'm now finally on the waiting list for a total
hysterectomy
which should get rid of the bulk of my pain - and therefore i will stop the pain medication. However, I've now to have a meeting with a chronic pain pharmacist (a 1hr nhs apt!) And i have a feeling they want me to stop my pain relief.

You Are All Amazing
My right ovary was removed 5 years ago during the
hysterectomy
surgery, because I had plenty of benign cysts on it and the surgeon told me it just could not be saved. The current doctor is particularly concerned about one of of the masses. CA 125 is 52.3.
