Seeking pearls of wisdom.
I also have
Hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
which complicates issues. I was fitted with a CRT-D pacemaker last fall. My Cardiologist is suggesting an AV Node ablation. Which isn't reversible and leaving me pacemaker dependent the rest of my life.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Does anyone on here have
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
apical? Or any experience with it? I’ve just found out that I may have this alone with myocarditis and I’m not sure I fully understand it. Are there treatment options?

I am 74 and have
Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy

My children are being screened for

AF or HC?
I had an echo in November after heart surgery resulting in Cardio tamponade and the clinician said I had
Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy
but i have never been treated for this by cardiologist. Can they be treating me for only the symptoms and not the cause? Could i be in danger.

Anybody had an ICD removed for personal reasons?
I have had my icd for around 2.5 years now (I have inherited
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
!) and really don’t get on with the ICD. I feel it is unnecessary as it has never administered any therapeutic shocks or picked anything up particularly shocking (pardon the pun!)

Nebivolol beta blockers making palpitations and heart rate more erratic.
I have atrial fibrillation and
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
and am fitted with an ICD. I have now been taking 5mg Nebivolol for about 10 days now after my ICD shocked me 5 times and ended up in hospital.

Rash following ICD implant
I was diagnosed with
Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy
about 3 years ago, and after several bouts of arrhythmia in the last few months, my consultant said I needed an ICD as a precautionary measure. I was a little apprehensive about it, but decided to go ahead.
