Currently on fentanyl 12 mg patch and 8
Hydromorphone
every 4-6 hours. Although the combination is not doing much for the pain, so starting Pallative Care on Wednesday and hopefully they have some additional pain solutions.

Going into Hospital Sundayš¢
They are going to drain out the dia-morphine over a period of 2/3 days (that's going to be fun, not) and then once empty fill up with 50%
Hydromorphone
which is meant to be stronger. I agreed to this as it's a change in drugs just might eliminate more Pain that what I get now.

Is there really a Nationwide Shortage of Hydromorphine?
I had the promise 4 weeks ago that the specialist was going to take me into hospital yet again to replace the Dia-morphine in the Medtronic pump for
Hydromorphone
which is a much stronger than the Dia-morphine.

For breakthrough pain I use 2 milligram
hydromorphone
tablets as needed. These are seldom needed unless I stand or walk too long or overdo it in other activities. Because of the fractures in my back I cannot lift over 5lbs per doctors orders.

How to Find a good pain management and/or Quality of life specialist for an advanced metastic prostate cancer patient
I believe it is the result of the side effects from the pain medication (50mcg/hr fentanyl patches and 4mg
Hydromorphone
tablets every 4 hours as needed) and Xtandi (4 40mg capsules every 4 hours as needed) which I started August 15.

For pain management, I am now on 72 hour Fetanyl patch 50mcg/hr plus
Hydromorphone
2mg every 2 hours, and 220 mg Naproxen sodium each morning. This generally keeps pain below level 4. Still experiencing short spikes of pain to, level 8 or 9, in ribs and spine if I move wrong.

Back from Biopsy
I discussed with the anaesthetist trying some
hydromorphone
sub cut just one dose to see if it helped the pain. Anyway after a 3 and a half hour wait they did the biopsy. I was taken up to a ward, no pain management prescribed. Asked for phone etc , was 2pm by then and they said I could leave at 3.

Pain management
I have found a combination of naproxen sodium (NS)) and
Hydromorphone
(H) as needed was effective for managing cancer pain from bone metastasis. NS for pain level (PL)<3. H for pain level >3.

Fortunately the fractures did not displace and the vertebrae did not compress but I did have to go back on
Hydromorphone
for pain relief as a result of the fractures. Then, in July the T8 compressed. So I had vertebroplasty on T8.

Any answers on treating and diagnosing burning foot pain
Gabapentin, CBD oil or THC does not touch the pain, the hospital injected me once with
Hydromorphone
and I could still feel the pain. I have heavy metal toxicity and Lyme disease and cannot methylate on my own, I'm only 50 yrs old and have to now use a wheelchair to get around.
