Zoladex is it a good idea?
Hi all I've just been back to my consultant he gave me 3 options a hysterectomy which I said would be a very last resort. Another laparoscopy and the removal of my left ovary as this is the only side I ever seem to have cysts on or to have zoladex or prostap. I'm really concerned from reading the side

Still bleeding on prostap :(
I've been on prostap since October and due my 6th injection on Friday but im still having periods. Has anyone experienced this? Or can explain why :( I'm on hrt and I've tried a couple of months of not taking it as my husband said it made me aggressive so I know it's not down to that

Prostap and ME/CFS
Hello everyone, Following my hysterectomy, with conservation of ovaries, and excision of 'visible' endo (at a BSGE Centre), I'm in worse pain than ever. The surgeon seemed as disappointed as I am and has suggested a 3 month trial of Prostap before we consider removal of the ovaries, to see whether they

Hi everyone, Before I ask my questions I should give you a little bit of background. Prostap and pain
I've now been on prostap for 8 weeks. I'm not taking HRT with it. I had bleeding and a lot of pain in the first couple of weeks, which fortunately subsided. I'm now experiencing quite a bad flare up of pain, although I'm not bleeding. I had decapeptyl last year (with HRT) which was abandoned after the

Prostap - for heavy periods
Hi all, I am 48. I was put on prostap for heavy periods after all investigation failed to find a cause. I started 3 monthly injections on 18/08/2015 along with livall hrt. My periods stopped within 4 weeks. I was on the injections for 1 year with no bleeding at all. It was like a new lease of life

Chasing Bsge letter
I had my 1st consultation at Bsge centre end of January where it was decided I'd have 3 months worth Prostap injections in prep for excision surgery for severe endo. My GP needs to have it in writing from the centre before these can go ahead but they still haven't had any letter! I keep getting voicemals

I thought after having a laparoscopy and injected 3 months prostap, things would improve but boyy am I wrong! I just got my first period today and I already feel like fainting. Do I have to go back to the whole painkiller ordeal again?? Any words of wisdom around to share? I'm worried. Thanks ladies

Had enough with doctors
Opinions please ladies. So I've been in hospital and after being told by two gynaes the ridiculous pain I have is endo and sounds like adhesions. Another Gynae consultant this morning has told me they won't be from Gynae pain as I'm on prostap and that solves endo. I didn't think there was an actual

Prostap..does it stop the ovaries doing anything at all?
Hi everyone, bit of a random question but one hopefully someone has knowledge of. I'm currently on prostap (which shuts down the ovaries and puts you into a pseudo menopause) for three months before our next IVF cycle. I know it stops ovulation but what I'm wondering is, does it stop the ovaries doing

Infertility information
Hey, I'm looking for some things to give to my partner to help him understand how it feels for me to be told I'm infertile. He doesn't seem to understand and thinks 'it's fine there are other options'. It's far from fine, I feel I'm not allowed to grieve. Also if there is anything on Prostap injections
