Access to Advagraf post Brexit
Hi all, I don't want to get into a political debate re Brexit! I wanted to mention that when in clinic recently my liver pharmicst mentioned to me that they have contacted manafacturers and there will be approximately 6 months of this medication in stock. During and this period negotiations with manafacturers

Has anyone gotten a flu shot after being on ocrevus?
How long do you have to wait after your infusion before you can get it? Will ask my doctor when i go for my second infusion in two weeks but curious if anyone has gotten theirs and how long they were told to wait? Thank you! You all have been so great and helpful!

When will the Pleurisey go????
I was diagnosed three years ago with Pleurisey x 2 times - one after the other. This was following having had the flu jab and contracting the first episode exactly two weeks later. I had a xray to check if I had lung cancer as I smoked back then. I stopped smoking immediately. I became ill in December

Flu shot
Anyone have any thoughts on flu shots? My thyroid symptoms continue as I work my way through the process of the T4/t3 combination. Are flu shots recommended?

New to group. Have had liver transplant 6 years ago due to hep c through contaminated blood transfusion. Prograf used for immune suppressant but now been told I’ve to change to Adoport to save money. Cannot find any real info on adoport which is new product offered. I got hep c because government wanted

Is it ok to have a flu jab close to a steroid one?
This coming Tuesday, I am having a steroid injection in my knee at the hospital. They seem to be making a bit of a fuss about it this time as I have to be admitted like I am in for an operation when before I just had the injection, went home and that was it. Anyway, my question is that on Saturday, I

Flu jab
Hi All. I am new to this group having just been diagnosed with RA earlier this year. My question is whether it is ok to have a flu jab while taking methotrexate and folic acid? I have had one in previous years before my diagnosis with no reaction. Thanks.

Dumb question of the day
I know I should know this but just to confirm getting the flu jab is not a problem for those with PMR is it? I do sometimes wonder what kicked off my PMR and all I can think of is having the flu jab a few weeks before hand....what do you think? Thanks.

New oncologist
I apologize this is long, but I need some help. My oncologist resigned in May without warning. I have seen his PA for the past 3 months. I'm not exceptionally fond of her (she's judgmental and gives me the impression she is nosy. This is her 2nd career, she was a journalist before), but I understood

Big news. Shocking improvement
Just did a DEXA although different machine. Reading has improved in FOUR months (with loads of interventions including one shot of Prolia which I will discontinue) from average -3.2 (worst reading -3.7) to -1.7 (worst reading -2.2) in spine!! I will discontinue Prolia and continue everything else Magnesium

Flu jab
Hi All, Having read all the responses to my original post, I did some research on the Over 65 vaccine. I was unaware it contains Shingrex, which is certainly an issue for me as I have Post Herpitic Neuralgia , (permanent nerve damage) from a bout of Shingles. I will be speaking with my pharmacist and

Flu vaccine?
Hi All, my pharmacist has recommended I have a flu jab this winter (he is starting to do them next week). He's offering it because I'm 65 and eligible for it free on the NHS. I don't have any respiratory or heart problems but it does take me a long time to recover from viruses that most people shrug

2019 flu jab info (UK specific)
Hi all, This is specific for UK based people. I was in my GP waiting room (accompanying my mother) when I overheard the receptionist say “yes, we are taking bookings for flu injections now”. That caused me to check online and I found this.. https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/annual-national-flu-programme

Still in pain
After spending a few days in hospital due to pain last week and some nice strong pain meds, I am being told my ALT’s are coming down despite my side being very swollen and still giving me pain. They did an ultrasound and didn’t find anything new. Frustrating as the pain and swelling wasn’t this bad when
